    Some retirements have a reduced payment benefit if the retiree dies. I thought I read on the DF retirement info that is a reduced amount. Let me see if I can find it.

    But wouldn't declaring him "dead" change the monthly pension payouts to a reduced amount? If he was still listed as missing, would the pension still remain the normal amount before his disappearance? According to our VI, they were not having any financial problems, so why the rush to declare him...

    I would think the sheriff has to sign off on it because Mr. Chambers did not die by natural causes. He actually went missing and there is an open investigation. But it does make wonder why the sheriff would sign off on the death certificate, but it is my understanding HC has not classified this...

    But maybe the rest of the family did not know about BC filing the testamary at the time of the TEQ search. But BC obviously knew she filed the paperwork. Because I thought I saw somewhere where the last search byTEQ was in early June. To me that would be wrong of her to allow her family to...
