I Googled all of his Dothan addresses that I could find but didn't see his cab parked at any of the houses.
I don't think Agent Collier's assertion is that surprising either. Many of us have always felt the car was left there after the other events that night.
My opinion only of course.
@ddav, I agree with you and as I said I would expect my defense attorney to do whatever for me as well to keep me from the death penalty. I call it a slime ball move because it has the potential to cause more emotional damage to two families that have been tormented for 20 years already.
Of course the defense attorney is going to say this. He's going to have to create this relationship that never existed to explain his client's DNA being present. If LE finds the key chain and baseball cap in CM's possession the defense attorney is going to say JB gave them to CM as tokens of...
EXCLUSIVE Pt. 1: Sister, friend of murder victim seek answers in teen's death
The link takes you to an interview with Jacqui Burgoon and Patti Simpson and their responses to the arrest of CM. It runs a little over 11 minutes.
@somequestions, I agree with you. How did they cross paths, how was he able to commandeer the car, where did the he take them, why take the keys and cap, and the biggest question why did he do it?
I guess it's possible. Perhaps a drop of blood in the car or on the girls from them fending him off. Maybe saliva from a discarded napkin or cigarette butt near the car.
IMO, the rape is oral rape due to the location of the semen sample (that was confirmed) and I don't see a murderer taking...
The time element? Fearful of discovery? Tracie fought him off or tried to break free and got shot first making J.B. more compliant? It's a good question.
I agree killarney rose. The fact that one of the girls was raped was never discussed, it was only said that semen was present on the clothing/skin. However, the legal definition of rape includes oral rape as well so that would explain the DNA source.
Here are some pictures of CM from high school in this article for those that are curious. He looked to be quite the student.
UPDATE: Man charged with rape, murder in Beasley-Hawlett case
I agree @iluvmua, if he was a police officer or former police officer (his employment dates with the PD haven't been verified yet that I know of) he may have had access to a blue light. The family has always said the girls wouldn't have stopped for anyone other than an officer.
Someone...
Dancemom, he could be charged with first degree murder but also murder in commission of another crime (rape, robbery, etc.), premeditated murder, etc. It depends on what the investigation reveals. Hope that helps. Here is a link:
Section 13A-6-2
Again, with this website, take with a grain of salt regarding accuracy, but one of CM's prior addresses is directly down the road from the Big/Little Store just before you cross highway 123 on your way to highway 231.
Looking through the inmate roster on the Dale County Sheriff's Office I don't see anyone that jumps out to me that was arrested in the past week. Then again this new suspect doesn't have to in custody in Dale County either.
Inmate Roster - Dale County Sheriff's Office
@ab01, thanks for that image outlining 200 yards. Looking at topography, the 200 yards is at the edge of downward slope. I wonder if we was attempting to hide the body further but vegetation and the forest prevented it.
I am always haunted by the quote from Hannibal Lecter in "Silence Of The Lambs" as he was guiding Clarice to Buffalo Bill. He asks Clarice how we learn to covet and his answer is "We begin by coveting what we see everyday."
I posted this shot earlier in thread 1 of the residences, I'll repost again for those who have joined since that time.
Here's the address if you want to explore the area yourself.
