In a normal case, attorneys file and the case is put on the calendar for maybe? 4-6 weeks later. And the civil calendar are most likely quite full. Special circumstance cases like this would be an "exception to the rule" so to speak. JMO

I believe that would be for "normal" scheduled cases, in a case like this that is "rushed" or "urgent" in nature Im sure it wouldn't show up. JMO

The caption / graphics on the Ashleigh Banfield show said AW was served the CPS document on December 1. Served to me means LE shows up at your door and you sign the a legal document showing you received. A CPS document of this magnitude is just sent through regular USPS mail? Just crazy IMHO

IF these detailed CPS documents were served to AW on December 1, then why was EK not charged with at least child abuse against the 2 boys as well. It would make sense to wait until the body, and ME report, on Mariah to charge with those additional charges. Would they wait and and file all...

With all the physical abuse, there is bound to be psychological abuse as well. If AW was kept from his children, they (children) may have been led to believe dad and girlfriend did not want to them around. JMHO

Just totally at a loss why DSS documents of that magnitude would be made public at this time to anyone not in LE.

Alligators are prevalent in this area of eastern NC, marshy and swampy inland areas. Much easier to get to than the ocean. The area where her body was found is near a wildlife habitat. Alligators - I will leave it at that!
