Laura Babcock Murder Trial - *GUILTY*

Oh that's true but I can see how a good defence lawyer could argue that the merk text should be excluded.

Laura Babcock Murder Trial - *GUILTY*

I am not a lawyer. I think that the judge didn't allow the merk text because it is not relevant as the Crown is suggesting that DM killed LB because she was inconvenient and DM's text is saying that he would murder people for profit. So inconvenience doesn't equal profit so not allowed in the...

Laura Babcock Murder Trial 12.06.17 - Closing Arguments - Day 2

Didn't look through the WS but I remember seeing it mentioned as well. I checked Lisa Hefner and Adam Carter's and it was mentioned on Lisa Hefner's twitter. https://twitter.com/HefCHCHNews Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews 5h5 hours agoMore Why would a hunter leave their kill in the woods...

Laura Babcock Murder Trial 12.06.17 - Closing Arguments - Day 2

From Adam Carter, it looks like DM deleted the messages and Laura's phone is not available. http://live.cbc.ca/Event/Laura_Babcock_murder_trial_Dec_6?Page=4 Cameron now saying Millard and Babcock had many contact in May and June of 2012 -- something Millard says wasn't true. The texts between...

Just curious - does anyone know where Wayne Millard was on July 3rd? He lived at Maplegate. I don't recall seeing it mentioned.

Laura Babcock Murder Trial 12.06.17 - Closing Arguments - Day 2

I think it was Marlena's testimony that Smich told her to stay in the front of the car and keep her head phones in while Smich and Millard were moving the incinerator. I think she said that Smich would often tell her to stay somewhere and listen to music. I am guessing that the crown is able to...

Laura Babcock Murder Trial 12.06.17 - Closing Arguments - Day 2

I am not a grammar expert but I think if you wanted to say think, see, judge, view then you would say "You of all people know how I regard Laura." Regarded means past tense to me but you could be right that it is not always past tense. Someone else here wrote about DM's texts and that he was...

Laura Babcock Murder Trial 12.06.17 - Closing Arguments - Day 2

Thank you for your explanation. I initially read the "it's quite possible" as a more positive statement than there is a possibility that Laura Babcock is alive. It was the quite that misled me.
