I don’t believe that the autopsy report mentioned drowning but it did note that “The victim’s right palm and the soles of both feet were rough and wrinkled, which suggested that they had been submerged in water, immediately before or after death.”
According to this linked article, “It is recognized that pleural effusion originates either in exogenous water inhaled into the lungs during drowning or in the endogenous water of the pulmonary edema, as in the process of acute death by asphyxiation.”

I lived in Las Vegas for a number of years and Im nearly positive that the second picture is in the conservatory of the Bellagio. I recognize the large flowers in the background. So the photo was probably taken on the same trip or day as the first photo.
