UK - Anthony Parsons, 63, charity cyclist, found deceased, Argyll, Scotland, 29 Sept 2017 *Arrests*

Sounds like the police are committing a lot of resource to this so must have some credible intelligence. Hopefully the truth comes out and the family at least find some closure.

I'm also still checking in here every now and again. Unbelievable that there's been no developments in almost 2 years.

Worth going for a poke around then? I'm no longer local to the area (as much as I would like to be!).

Is there anything to suggest it would have been at the time he went missing? Not trying to be dismissive, just critical. Using the river Orchy as a proxy suggests it wasn't particularly high, though there is a spike shortly after: Orchy at Glen Orchy: River level and flood alerts Looking at...

Him being underwater seems one of the most likely cases. Issues being: While I don't have SAR training it seems reasonable to prioritise watercourses It seems like there's a strong chance the bag, clothes, or bike would be been found if that were the case A year and a half of being trapped is...

Kings House had (has?) a cafe/restaurant that was open despite the renovation. I agree though it's probably more likely he stopped, but even then if it took him 5.5 hours to cycle 40km he could take a 1.5 hour stop and would still only have averaged 10km/h over that section At that point why not...

I wouldn't read much into it, road.cc's article are quite often poor in their use of language. It's also very unlikely that they're going off anything other than the press release. That said it would explain why the alarm wasn't raised with the police for a good couple of days after he set off...

NV - 59 Dead, over 500 injured in Mandalay Bay shooting in Las Vegas, 1 Oct 2017 #10

Facts, but not facts that lead to the stated conclusion. The contractors thing is a bit overblown, there's thousands of them. The 'second shooter' thing is common in the confusion. Swat taking forever, fine but the shooting had stopped well before they were in place.

I'd say this is fairly likely. Not sure why off-road at that point would be likely, especially up Glen Lyon. Anyone seen anything about him having lights? Without lights or with poor quality lights he would not be able to cycle off-road for any distance. Seriously, for any kind of mtb night...

Hi guys, this is my first post here - and a long one! It is good to see there is still discussion about this case well after the (even local) news has moved on. I am an experienced cyclist, semi-local to the area, and have driven the A82 countless times and walked the WHW at a similar time of...
