West Pickett Creek and the road connected to it are in a rural portion of Josephine County, technically it is a little closer to an unincorporated place known as Merlin, but it's ambiguous enough just to be considered an extension of Grants Pass and the greater Josephine county area.
I think...
Here is the link to Kim's father's obituary. Looks like her maiden name was Vanderbush, and she has a few sisters out there.
Also, snagged a couple older photos of Kim from her high school days, she attended Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra, California, during the 1970's. She was a beautiful...
Everyone. I think that we may have been misinterpreting the NAMUS entry for Katrina this entire time.
So, in the circumstances, NAMUS states that "Katrina stated to her mother that she was going to Roseburg with a friend and her husband."
It just hit me that whoever wrote this was actually...
Hi everyone. Me again, I got a redacted copy of the Teresa Peroni file from the Josephine County Sheriff's Office. Apparently in 2004, the FBI wanted to get mitochondrial DNA from the skull fragments of this Jane Doe to compare to Teresa. As in, they were actively on the case. When the lead of...
Just popping in here to let the thread know that I am attempting to request a redacted copy of Katrina Sweaney's missing persons file from the Grants Pass Police Department <modsnip> I know it isn't likely that the individuals she was traveling with will be directly named in whatever copy of the...
Also, has anybody else noticed that in NAMUS, both Teresa and the 1997 Jane Doe have THE SAME CASE NUMBER? I would say that's a pretty clear indication that JCSO is working under the assumption that this Doe is in fact Teresa (or Terry, as her friends called her)
Hey hi hello everybody. Just dropping by the thread to let folks know that I have officially received a redacted copy of Teresa Peroni's missing persons report, and several of the supplementary reports. Unfortunately, three of the documents I was given by the Josephine County Sheriff's Office...
I submitted the first one as of December 2, 2023. Still waiting to hear back. I have not submitted the Arizona doe, as my search for matches has been primarily focused in Oregon and California. Will check it out though.
Has anybody else taken note of the fact that in NAMUS, Jane Doe now has the same case number with the Josephine County Sheriff's Office as Teresa Peroni? H<modsnip> From what I could determine when speaking with the state ME, the DNA from Jane Doe was too degraded to be of use. I believe that...
Do we know what would prompt removal? I would presume that it's the cases being solved, but notice a few identified people in this list so it can't be that.
Hi everyone! I'm working on ruling Cindy Irene King either in or out with this one, seems like even though LE has dentals, they are not exactly responsive to Doe Network submissions.
That story hasn't quite panned out, and it doesn't really align with what the report or family has to say. I am still interested in figuring out how to check just in case, but got a little stuck in that the property that the person claimed she was buried on is owned by a trust rather than a person.
Most of this is correct, but Cindy's family (at least the sister, brother, and mother she lived with) was actually in the Grants Pass area when she vanished! It's also mostly theorized that while she was last seen by family in GP, she may have been staying with a family friend in LA after that...
Update- I have confirmed through family that Cindy was the product of a union between the mother listed in the report, Joy, and James C King. So we can at least rest assured that the DNA on file is accurate.
The conversation with Cindy's family also yielded some interesting insight. Cindy was...
There is DNA on file, that was taken from the mother who reported her missing, a maternal half sister, and a (full?) sister. The information in the report is a little confusing as far as Cindy's genetic makeup. I came up with three possibilities and ruled one out, but the other two are still...
I got the report on Cindy's disappearance from the Josephine County Sheriff's Office. It is FULL of random information. Here are a few highlights.
-Cindy's assumed mother may not have actually been her mother, as the mother who reported her missing is not in fact the Martha Slaven who we were...
I'm honestly just writing to bump this, because I stumbled upon Karissa's case while looking into potential matches for a Jane Doe up here in Oregon. Karissa's picture reminded me of a lot of my friends in high school, and after reading this thread she reminds me of some of those friends too. No...
