It's standard on the latest OS for iPhone but you have to manually share your location with others. My best friend (who is single and a frequent hiker), fiancé and I all share with one another because I read websleuths and am paranoid ;-)
I keep thinking about the Leanne Bearden case. So many similarities. She went out for a walk and never came back. Authorities didn't classify it as criminal or suspicious. She seemed like a happy person with a lot to look forward to. And despite being a suicide it took weeks to locate her...
About the roommate thing.... Nicole was in a sorority. My fiancé still refers to his fraternity roommate as his roommate.
It's very possible the poster meant her friends college roommate or something similar, not necessarily current.

Right - also indicates that they probably didn't find anything in her car that suggested foul play.
Though, if they have reason to believe she may have been hurt/injured hiking or running, I'm surprised that isn't enough to execute a search warrant.
The latest Facebook update regarding her cell phone is interesting.
"Law enforcement is unable to use a search warrant exception because Nicole's disappearance is not considered a criminal matter."
Meredith Emerson. She was murdered by Gary Michael Hilton.
Also the lack of information surrounding the case reminds me of Leanne Hecht Bearden. The family had an idea that she was suicidal but never said anything, however they didn't seem to be looking for a suspect.
One of Josh's friends commented on the article that mentions the hanging and says "no chance this was suicide...none" so tough...it's hard for people who didnt know her to believe it, I can't imagine how those that did know her feel
Just popping in to make a comment... might have been brought up before but I felt compelled..
For those who think that KC used chloroform to knock Caylee out so that she could go out and do whatever.. I find a problem with that.
If you were going to knock your kid out... and I'm sure that...
I graduated from UW-Whitewater in May, and I was on campus during the summer working when I found out she was missing. Kelly was best friends with my best friend's freshman roommate. I know Kelly did a lot of drugs and was a fairly dark person -IDK if she was still into drugs at that point...
Yea themed parties are very common. Just last night there was a "corporate" themed party a few roads down from my apt. You could tell since everyone was dressed up in suits lol
Ok this is WAY far fetched but here goes:
Since LE is completely against the serial killer idea and they refuse to even consider it, perhaps this is a big conspiracy of the local police to deter college students from drinking - by instilling fear in them.
Its pretty far fetched but I just don't...
Just want to throw this out there about the costume thing for those of you who haven't been to college or it's been awhile...
There are parties pretty much every week/weekend that have "themes" so for a college student to be dressed in a costume, that is not unusual BUT it also depends on the...
Even if she doesn't say it, I'm sure your daughter listens to you. I graduate in a few weeks, and for the last 4 years I have never gone out alone without at least one friend thanks to the constant warnings from my mom :)
I've got some info, I'm sure some of it has been posted, but maybe some of it is new:
*In most of the cases the persons personal items, such as cell phone, keys or wallet, or even car, are found in another part of town basically in the opposite direction where the body was either put in the...
Hi everyone, I'm going to jump in on this thread. I'm a college student in Whitewater, which isn't too far from La Crosse where a lot of these drownings occured. I didn't know any victims personally, but Luke Homan was a friend of several of my friends.
I'm a journalism student and I've spent...
FYI I don't know if anyone has posted this but here's the website http://nationwideinvestigations.us/index.html and there is a contact page with an email. I emailed them yesterday.
