By that logic, all indictments and trials should be kept secret -- after all, by charging someone of a crime, LE is stating that they believe the person is guilty and that they plan to prove it. (think Guantanamo)

Well, an obvious difference could be bias toward a the party that's paying -- I sort of thought that's what Dr Gould meant when he said he was "advocating" for BC. What do you think? Have you heard that term used by expert witnesses ("advocating" for or against a side)?
