    trial day 52: REBUTTAL; #159

Hey guys :seeya: Just wanted to pop in and say Hi...I miss posting with y'all. Unfortunately, I had to get my butt back to work and can't watch via live stream...have to follow along with HLN on surround so I can hear testimony while I paint, LOL. My heart broke for Deanna yesterday :(...

weekend discussion: discuss the trial here #139

My husband was passing thru the family room when she said that. He stopped, looked at the tv, then back at me and asked, "Where do they get these <ahem> people?" He follows the trial sporadically, with me, and even he knows she was paid $300 per HOUR, not 250/day.

Yes! Thank you! She was on one of the shows earlier and said that Jodi couldn't have doctored her journals because she was arrested a week after the killing. I was like, wait...what? I was hoping Beth Karas would correct her, but she's too classy for that.

weekend discussion: discuss the trial here #139

I missed the first hour-and-a-half of testimony today, which I assume were juror questions? Got home just in time to see Willmott's follow-up (coulda done without that :) ) Juan's follow up (BAM!) and the judge's first ever admonition to ALV, "I don't want to hear about your personal...

WHOA! What is that about - a separate issue to discuss with ALV?

Awww - Travis' family looks upset. Tanisha is crying

Why can't Willmott object like a normal attorney? What's with the need to always approach?

Oooh, bring it, Juan. ALV can't remember the two criminal cases she testified in re: men.

Better late than never - I'm here. Did the questions start on time this morning? Did I miss anything good? TIA

Okay, folks, it's almost 10 pm here so I'm off to relax before bed. I need to view something other than HLN or I'll have nightmares. Thanks to all for the thoughtful posts and stimulating conversation. See ya in the mornin'. :seeya:

Bwahahaha - Dr Drew said he needed to go to Urban Dictionary to look up the meaning of "tossed salad." I will never forget the day I had to ask my fellow websleuthers what that term meant. omg!

Are you sure? I don't remember seeing any journal entries after June 4 admitted yet. I could be wrong, of course, but if anybody can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. tia

BOMBSHELL Donavan Bering is on Nancy Grace right now. She admits for tweeting for Jodi.

No, but ALV was asked if she read any of Jodi's journals after June 4, 2008 and she claimed she wasn't privy to those. I certainly hope Juan is able to bring those entries in when he follows up. That would be awesome to see her jaw drop, especially after she said she didn't think Jodi would...

Also, the jurors seem to understand that her assessment of domestic violence in the relationship between TA & JA was flawed because she couldn't talk to Travis, nor did she speak to any of his friends or family. She relied on Jodi's word, and writings that were cherry picked by the defense...

Wow, they had so many great questions and they really seem to "get it." I think they are skeptical of her testimony because they don't believe Jodi.

Me, too! Those jury questions definitely had my blood pumping, and her answers didn't seem to matter much.

Um...did the jury actually ask Alyce if she had feelings for Jodi?
