This article has so many details that we've been waiting to learn for so long. It is so painful to know how long Gerry suffered. I prayed that whatever happened to her had been quick, and was so sure she had slipped and hit her head. The one good thing to come from Gerry's journal and letters is...
Even though we knew this was the most likely outcome, it is still so sad to know for sure. I'm glad for the family's sake that Gerry will be brought home and laid to rest. I just pray that she did not suffer in the end.
Of course there's also a part of me that wants to track down all those...
I have to assume that the stipulation that each side pays their own legal fees is a factor. I cannot imagine how much this is costing in legal fees, and even if they were to win they might never see a dime. Fighting the good fight is one thing, but years and years of it that takes funds away...
I'm not going to say much about this b/c I don't want a time out, but IMHO this is a tool used by the media to dehumanize these babies and diminish their importance in the mind of the public.
I'm so sorry about the loss of your babies.
I'm sorry, but if they recognized that the baby is a boy and are uncertain whether he was born alive or not, we are not talking about an early miscarriage that might be mistaken for a heavy period.
Even if we were, when was the last time you...
This past Saturday there was a memorial celebration for Gerry's life. It was amazing to see so many people whose lives she and George have touched.
I remember when they first planned this, and I was so sure we'd have answers by now. It's hard to believe that they really don't know any more...

I hope this will help, but don't hold out much hope. I really think if someone had seen something, they would have come forward by now.
There is a memorial celebration planned at...
I can't believe it has been six years and no more progress.
It seemed like there was so much to go
on in the beginning.
Sad.

Just got an email from George (not me personally, but forwarded through the various ministry leaders from our church) with permission to share.
He says that this article is probably the most current media info...
Heartbreaking.

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The search for missing hiker Geraldine Largay will be "extensively scaled back," the Maine Warden Service announced tonight, after a narrowed...
This article explains more about the cell phones and that they still have not found the anonymous caller...which seems weird.
Trained SAR only this weekend. I wonder if there's a way to put an announcement up for those in the area. I know we have some members who are trained...

Video at this link really shows how treacherous the terrain is.
So grateful for the SAR professionals and volunteers!
I know the searches can't go on forever, but this makes my heart hurt.

I know. I have not seen anything about cell records or the phone itself mentioned in a single article. Tempted to ask.

I hope this is okay to post even though there is no link to a news article. It is an email from Gerry's husband, George, that is being forwarded throughout our parish.
In this and a previous email George gives permission to share these details and even asks us to risk oversharing, so I...
update from Atlanta news...terribly written article but new info on the search.
