The emphasis on wanting to talk to anybody that has communicated with the parents since Sunday sounds like maybe they are having trouble corroborating their statements - could this be because one or more of them are changing their stories?
I still can't figure out how the brothers got ready for...
They are asking to speak to anyone that has talked to the parents since Sunday - they want anyone who has communicated with them since Sunday to contact Law Enforcement. Hmm.
Okay after reading more information about the timeline of events on the evening of January 10 and the subsequent four day waiting period before her *mother* called police, I'm leaning towards foul play. I just can't imagine a scenario where my SO goes missing and I don't think to call his family...
I'm more familiar with the Nehalem river near Vernonia, which is probably similar to Jewell/Elsie. It can be anywhere from 6-10 feet deep in the Winter - more if there is a lot of rainfall or snow melt. Flood stage is 12 feet. It's not a particularly deep or dangerous river, but Brianna may not...
If she jumped into the Nehalem she wouldn't die from impact, because the bridge isn't high enough, but the water would have been fast flowing and very cold. Historic data suggests an average water temperature of around 40 degrees F for Foss, Oregon. Elsie is further inland and at a higher...
The hiker that thought she had seen her seemed pretty credible, and she has been in touch with the lead investigator and search coordinators. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anything has come of that. :(
Part of me wants to believe that this is a case similar to Hannah Thomas-Garner, the Ashland teen that staged a car vandalism/ransack before heading out into the woods with friends in an ill-advised effort to explore youthful freedom, because that would mean she was still alive, but I'm not...
Surprising absolutely nobody, the boyfriend has been officially labeled a POI:

Also, the family is trying to hire a private K9 search team...
Is it normal for one lawyer to represent three different people on the same case?
I wonder mostly because I can imagine a scenario where JM's defense is a conflict of interest with VDK's defense, you know? It seems pretty clear that LE is looking to eventually charge them, I can't imagine that...
Oh my God. I knew I shouldn't look at this case update but I did it anyway. I honestly cannot believe the evil that walks among us. This is one of the worst cases I have followed, poor baby Chance never knew a single moment of love or light until his sweet release from this horror. I am so sad...
I took that to mean that finding little DeOrr might give additional indication of what happened to cause his death - but you're right, I guess it could mean that he's still alive! That would really be something!
I've never shared my theory because they weren't officially named suspects, but I think there's going to be meth involved. I don't necessarily think they killed him intentionally, but I think there's probably some pretty gross negligence here as a result of drug use.
I just hope they finally...
Here is another article that says it will update throughout the day: http://www.eastidahonews.com/2016/01/lemhi-sheriff-deorrs-parents-have-been-less-than-truthful-are-suspects-in-childs-disappearance/
I'm so relieved that we can finally talk about the elephant in the room, because this whole case stank to high heaven from the very beginning. Poor little man. :(
I actually think that if he were guilty, he would have had her actual set of car keys, instead of the single spare that was "found" several days after the initial searches in his bedroom. Here are some photos I saw online when I was looking into this very thing:
Closeup from the photo of TH...
I'm sad to see that Alissa is still not found, I come here each day hoping for an update, and some sort of news of a miracle.
Also, not sure if it matters, but I figure I should mention it because it speaks to conditioning: I ran this last year as well, the course is pretty tough - if you...
LE has said that the cases are not related.
http://www.people.com/article/spotsylvania-county-katelin-michelle-akens-missing-heather-ciccone-dead includes:
Captain Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office tells PEOPLE there's no connection between the two cases, emphasizing...
