Discussions on Formal Sentencing Hearing - Jodi Arias #2

I'm going to have to see it to believe it. A note from 11 jurors telling her there is a problem and she does not correct it...just sayin' :)

Was it Falconer or was he removed before deliberations ? Thank you - :)

Discussions on Formal Sentencing Hearing - Jodi Arias #2

I'm sure someone here can remember this better than me but there was a case ( I can't remember which but it was not in AZ) where a juror was removed during deliberations, replaced by an alternate and the deliberations had to begin anew. Wish I could remember which trial that was but I honestly...

Discussions on Formal Sentencing Hearing - Jodi Arias #2

Seems to me, the judge could have resolved this when she was passed a note from the other 11 jurors detailing the problem. I'd venture to say, judges need to resolve such issues immediately and within the spirit of the law. It is a juror's sworn duty to deliberate, refusal needs to be met with...

ElleElle - I wallow in sarcasm, she wasn't confused, not in the least. :) I agree with you, she got emotional over something, bulled up and refused to listen or to deliberate.

    SIDEBAR #46 - Arias/Alexander forum

bbm How in Hades does a person qualify to be a DP juror if their religion is opposed to it ? Does that not automatically make the juror anti death penalty, provided they actually practice their religion? This is just about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Are lawyers and the court not...

I believe Juror 17 was confused. Revenge is what the murderess imposed upon Travis simply because he became aware that he simply did not need her in his life and had the grace to forgive her lying evil self.

Somehow I don't believe justice was granted today, not to Travis, nor to his family. There is but one chance remaining for a semblance of justice to be granted. Judge Stephens has the last say in this matter, here's hoping she has the thoughtfulness, the strength, and the moral fiber to ensure...

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 44

It would take a considerable amount of time just to get through one DT witness. Crazy stuff there. Hey LoneTraveler -good to see you too :)

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 44

Thanks AZLawyer for clarifying that for me. Good to know, I hope the jurors take advantage of reviewing some materials as some testimonials are quite telling.

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 44

Sorry, I have not kept up with this re-trial of the penalty phase but my question is, does this jury have the opportunity to review materials from the trial ?

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 44

Sheriff Joe better make sure he takes away all her stuff before sentencing, especially paper. Don't want her to slit her wrists before she hears her fate :)

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 44

I think the last jury, at least the "fatherly" male juror, pretty much confirmed this last time around. Jurors unfortunately are not exempt from having personal motivations no matter what they say.

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 44

Good to see you as well G&AMom - the rest of the gang too! :) As you know, I'm quite fond of Ms. Wilmott, her meltdown early in the trial always makes for a LOL moment when one needs a good laugh.

VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 43, Part 2

That is the biggest problem with this "penalty phase retrial". JMO - this entire exercise was a complete waste of taxpayer funds and a complete waste of time. It makes zero sense to have a jury decide life or death without having access to the entirety of the case. Seems to me, it will be...

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 37

Hope you are right about closing next week. I agree the logical conclusion is lethal injection but Ms. Arias is much like a drunk driver, the driver of the car she hits dies, she carries on without any reason for feeling guilt as she has decided it was the other driver's fault and they got what...

Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 37

The trial that never ends. Aren't the taxpayers of AZ tired of padding the retirement funds of the defense team yet? This is simple, just lock her in an isolated cell already and throw away the key... :)
