CANADA Canada - Unsolved murders of young people in London, Ont, 1960s-70s

Do you think the police seriously investigated Russell Johnson for the late 60s murders of young people? Interesting that he lived on talbot Street in 69 which was a mere 1.6 km to Bruce Stapylton's home.

CANADA Canada - Unsolved murders of young people in London, Ont, 1960s-70s

It's been reported that the police have dna from Jacqueline's killer. It's time to make use of genetic genealogy. This has gone on far too long. She deserves justice! The tool to deliver that justice is available, but not used. What a shame.

Canada - Christine Jessop, 9, Queensville, Ont, 3 Oct 1984 *killer identified* #3

I am looking at an unsolved murder in toronto area in the mid 70's. I realize Calvin Hoover would of been young then, but does anyone know where he was living or working in the mid 70's?

CANADA Canada - Unsolved murders of young people in London, Ont, 1960s-70s

Hi Puppyraiser, There were 2 murders in thunder bay in late 68 that were very similar to 2 of the London murders in early 68. I posted about them earlier in this thread. Please post if you find any other similar cases in Canada....I am very interested too.

CANADA Canada - The Woodland Rapist of Southern Ontario, 1992-1995 *Arrest*

Great post Musicaljoke. Cowle’s victim was found tied to a tree which is what the woodland rapist did to atleast one of his victims. I wish I could find picture and description of Cowles.

CANADA Canada - The Woodland Rapist of Southern Ontario, 1992-1995 *Arrest*

I am so frustrated that this predator has never been brought to justice. It’s mind boggling to me that the authorities have never gotten a DNA hit. Someone mentioned in an earlier post that maybe the attacker has died which sent me on a search. I did find someone who went missing and is...

Found Deceased CO - Maggie Long, 17, suspicious house fire, Bailey, 1 Dec 2017

Such a horrible thing to happen to Maggie and her family. Hopefully this isn't just a stall tactic. I really hope there is an arrest soon.

CANADA Canada - Unsolved murders of young people in London, Ont, 1960s-70s

Thanks Musicaljoke. Do you know if this psychiatric facility was for adults only or would children be sent there as well in the 60's? John Lamont was 20 years old in 1968. Is it possible that as a teenager with severe schizophrenia that he would be sent to southern Ontario for treatment in...

CANADA Canada - Unsolved murders of young people in London, Ont, 1960s-70s

At John Lamont's trial a psychiatrist testified that he was a severe schizophrenic. I'm wondering if teenagers with mental health issues in Thunder Bay were sent to southern Ontario for treatment in the mid 60's. Is it possible that at he was sent to London for treatment sometime before the...

CANADA Canada - Unsolved murders of young people in London, Ont, 1960s-70s

Included in these unsolved murders in the London area: Jacqueline Dunleavy, 16, disappeared, in January 1968, on her way home from work at a variety store. Her body was found less than 2 hours later a few miles from work in the northwest area of London. Frankie Jensen, 9, disappeared on...

I would guess LE has already checked them out, but....There is a company called Smooth Plastering & General Contracting in Toronto that lists drywall as one of its services offered. Looks like they were around in 2002, but no idea if they have ever had any vans with smooth logo.

Does anyone know what happened to "bill larocque"? Any criminal activity later in his life?

    CANADA Canada - Christine Jessop, 9, Queensville, Ont, 3 Oct 1984 - #1

Thanks Woodland. I'm sure there are some problems with the theory I have proposed, but If Christine was abducted by way of the cemetery, then I can envision the perp exiting through the back roads. He may not have exited onto Leslie because he was afraid to be seen by cemetery workers or...

Wow, so many of you have put some much thought and work into this case. Some of us have had a difficult time believing the "Horwood sighting" because of the direction of travel of the suspect car. But, what if there were some sort of access roads at the time from inside the cemetery out to...

CANADA Canada - The Woodland Rapist of Southern Ontario, 1992-1995 *Arrest*

FWIW I got to thinking where a perp like this might work and i remember an indoor kids play park(the kind with jumping castles etc) on west drive in brampton which is just around corner from Norton Park. I don't think it is there anymore, but I did find a similar company that rents these type...

    IA IA - Elizabeth Collins, 8, & Lyric Cook, 10, Evansdale, 13 July 2012 - #6

Does anyone know if LE would check video and credit card receipts of area gas stations for the morning/early afternoon of the 13th? I'm wondering because if we use the theory that there was a planned abduction and a vehicle was used to transport the girls from the scene then maybe the perp...

I so totally agree with you. They were millionaires for crying out loud. Like she is going to wear the same outfit that she had worn the night before. Thats some hard evidence----she must be guilty!
