I was quite young during the Bernardo/Homolka trials - but I thought I remember a ban being put on then as well & a lot of the US newspapers picked up on the case & were publishing outside of Canada. Is this correct? Is that something that still occurs?

I have been apart of websluths for a long time now, mostly i just read & do catch up because threads move so fast & I don't usually have anything all that interesting to say. This is the first case that has been so close to home for me. My children's grandparents live in Sarnia, their father...

I should probably know this, but are they required to attend the sentencing? or can a plea be entered on their behalf?

forgive me if this seems totally insensitive at this time, but has it been reported yet whether or not the family chose/was able to have an open casket? i feel sick wondering, but amongst all the swirls of rumour - i am trying to remain hopeful?

could it be possible that TB's injuries were faked by her for some reason? maybe she put on that she was hurt to distract from MM real (&reported) injuries? or gave her self a superficial injury if she had to come up with a story later to the police to make it seem like she tried to stop MM...

This thread moved so fast yesterday, just trying to catch up... The Sarnia Observer states "A lawyer speaking on his behalf asked the court to ensure a detention facility was made aware of MacGregor’s “severe injuries.”" at this link...

kind of just speaking into the universe, but i would like to know how an arrest was made so quickly. almost seems like part of the "thrill" was being caught? dominate act... switch to submissive ??

I have asked my local friend (he has lived in Sarnia all his life) if there was any significance to "the loft" - he said that the party was held in a loft above a store called Artopia. He sent me a picture, but I am not sure if I am allowed to post it as the info may be considered more...
