Wait a minute... the shoe print pictured on the left located here http://imgur.com/ZdovsO0 is not the same shoe print depicted in the official LE/press release photo of the shoe prints. Where did the shoe print on the left even come from?

The footprint on the right looks to be a match to Heinrich's shoes, it has the same wavy tread mark pattern with the flat toe shape but the one on the left has a toe shape that is pointier and the tread pattern has straight lines.

It's possible DJH could have seen Adam's house from DR's driveway. All he would really need to see was Adam taking off on his bike to the Tom Thumb IMO.

Heinrich probably parked in DR's driveway to watch Adam's house that night and he saw the 3 boys riding their bikes to the Tom Thumb coming from the other direction.

DJH seemed technologically savvy, he could have been tapping into the Wetterling's phone line that night using a simple lineman's handset (aka butt set or buttinsky) which is little more than a trussed up wall phone with a small dialing pad and alligator clips for tapping directly into a line...
