This whole case has gone quiet. I haven't been able to find anything worth/able to be posted here, so I've been off the board for a few days.

Riverfront Park is part of a larger continuous park complex, starting with Confluence State Park in the north, continuing to Walla Walla Point Park, which morphs into Riverfront Park, which is 'wrapped' with the Apple Capital Loop Trail that runs through all three, across the river, up the other...

They're removing all comments regarding persons who have not been named by investigators.

As far as I understand it the FBI/DCSO/CCSO have told anyone involved with the case to stay out from in-front of the cameras and microphones to keep from potentially compromising the case.

Because the vic is 17, possible assailants are very likely minors as well, and the police have been mum on anything and everything compared to many other investigations of similar nature. The amount of public information capable of being discussed here is severely limited. I know... :banghead:

The Wenatchee World is pretty serious on the potentially libelous commentary.

The phone doesn't have to be active (talking, texting) to ping towers. If you've ever driven cross country your phone will alert you that you have changed time zones once you cross the line. Your phone is pinging towers every few seconds to minutes so that the system doesn't have to broadcast a...

There is a Columbus Street within Yakima, and there are a lot of regional connections with Yakima here.

Unless the individual has been named in the Media or press release from one of the LE Organizations involved, we can't link to them as far as I understand it. Minor or not.

I remember seeing that too, although I also cannot remember the location as well. I need to pay more attention.

Well after finding the site on my computer (I was sleuthing the other night via Nintendo Wii, so I couldn't go to the Manson Tribune myself), It would appear that Doug in this case is a name (of a LEO or Call Taker), instead of short for Douglas County. Innitially my thought was that if this...

This one is of particular interest. It would be helpful to know what location this one came from, but it does appear it came from Douglas County according to the shorthand tags. I think it's coming clear this was not a random act, in the heat of the moment but instead a premeditated and...

I think we've really come up against a brick wall IMHO. Unless DCSO/CCSO releases new information we're all just running in circles. I did notice that the answer to someones question in the last thread of why the family has not been in front of the camera has come to light. The FBI told her to...

While it is more than difficult to even estimate the location of where those photos might be from, it is pretty easy to say they don't appear to be anything from the location where her body was found. Most of them actually appear to be some of the standard locations photographers use in this...

Perhaps they know people are dredging the internet for clues and would rather not be linked.

I really don't think an ATV or Motorcycle was involved. While there aren't any neighbors close enough to hear things like screams or shouting, motorcycles and ATVs would have been loud enough to draw attention. If the house is for sale, such machinery on sight would have tipped someone off...

Locals are treating everything as suspicous. http://www.wenatcheeworld.com/news/2010/feb/19/suspicious-complaints-up-as-homicide/ I'm fully expecting to be pulled over within the next week or so because of the hysteria. My leinholder is taking their sweet time getting my title information over...

There's no problem with bringing it to the attention of the forum, but it really seems like there are some people out there who want it to be this kid because of his writing. As girlfawkes said, it's been reported to the cops and they're watching him. If he's involved, it's already in the right...

I think we need to resist the urge to try to find something to pin this on JO. As it is often said in science, correlation does not equal causation. Yes, the kid is disturbed but we have no other evidence to tie him to the case. It does a great disservice to try to scare up connections.
