There have been several searches organized by Dan's friends; I, personally, have also searched. We have been anxiously waiting for today, knowing this is the day river searches were to begin. Sadly, we have our first snowfall forecast for tonight, followed by a cold snap with more snow later...
FYI, map of the East Dubuque/Dubuque area, with the bar "The Other Side" marked. There is a bridge that connects the two cities (US 20) that spans the Mississippi River. So Dan, who lives in (Dubuque) was across the bridge in East Dubuque, when he seems to have disappeared. Lots of water around...

Dan Gessner was last seen at around 2:45 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2019, outside of the Other Side Bar in East Dubuque, Illinois. He was believed to be wearing a black Dark Chambers hoodie, a gray shirt, and blue jeans.
Gessner uses a medical device that requires urgent attention.
