Calgarians can correct me about today... my friend lived in Calgary back in the 90's and she said that people would point at you if you jay-walked and that police did, in fact, ticket people for jay walking. I'm not surprised to hear "ticketing failure to yield a pedestrian".

Here's an article about the split with various plans from the 60's, i.e., fireplace/no. It might even be more helpful. http://www.splitlevel.net/split-level.html (Didn't realize I quoted myself. Sorry)

This looks similar from the front. Maybe it's a good start http://www.builderhouseplans.com/three-bedroom-split-level/pid/114101863

Only since you posted it. I noted that "homicide" was involved from the beginning but then thought they are always involved in Amber Alerts? Hearing it articulated from LE is remarkable.

LE did say after 'releasing' DG from anything to do with the Amber Alert, that they were certain there was more than one POI. So having DG in custody really doesn't serve a purpose but to keep an eye on him. At least being out and about they'd be able to monitor him.

Thanks for the link, Lisap2003, but I couldn't find reference to them sending anything to the lab from the landfill. Acreage, yes. Landfill, no. :dunno:

He just completed his first year of h.s. It's big (feeder school). I was worried that he'd get lost in it, but my friend assured me that the kids have a knack of gravitating into their respective 'groups'. They do, too. Geographically it's not easy to get together, but "minecraft", social...

Ms. Elle, thanks for your post. Reading it tugged on my heart strings b/c my son was very late to talk and although is not diagnosed with ADD/ADHD or a learning disability, he has a deficiency that has him write tests, etc., in resource. and by consequence 100% of his friends are high...

(response to cathdawg above, sorry thought I used quote) I wondered that initially. But with the Amber Alert he would never be able to use it without someone knowing that it was being used...and subsequently LE following the contrail to his ISP, etc., etc.

Not sure what "Basic" means. However, I went back to #840. Bank card and Credit card are two completely different things. When you open a bank account you sign a document stating all the information you are providing the bank (about you) is true. If POI used a false identity to open the...

Carli, you should be a writer. :) This family sure has a lot of 'excitement' about it. It's not typical.

Stolen? Unlawful possession means having something in your possession against the law - not necessarily stolen. I think the bank card is tied to the other charge of identity theft. jmo "Garland faces charges of identity theft and unlawfully possessing a bank card. The charges are unrelated...

Agreed. My point was the TD *bank* card. (money) Maybe money changed hands. No doubt LE was investigating the L's finances, etc., and they followed a transaction to that specific account. It's just speculation on my part. Interesting that money (bank card (under another identity)) comes...

Here's something else to consider. Three people live on the acreage. If there are k-9 hits, evidence of any sort related to this case (or maybe others?) the Crown is going to have a heck of a time prosecuting just one 'tenant'. Kind of like having one computer for umpteen family members and...

Re the bank card and speculation on my part. Is it possible that money was transferred into POIs account (payment for services rendered). From whom? AL? (settle a score) LE want to know where he is/went. POI was basically a "driver". All were alive last time he saw them... Hence...

I'm not a reporter, but I have a few ideas as to why. Because he attended court via video so no opp to get an up-to-date image of him arriving. Maybe because the ID/license he had was under another name? Being a loner there are no other pictures forthcoming from "friends and...

When referring to AL's twin, (property in Mazatlan) it was in the past tense. I was under the impression that it had been sold: (Reporter)Is there any reason why they chose Mexico and why specifically Mazatlan? Did they own property down there? Were they planning to by property? It was...

Further to this CC (I'm from Ontario, too). My dad died at home from lung cancer. My mom had to pre-arrange for a dr to be on-call to come into the home and pronounce time of death (following PRN saying he had passed). Funeral director came to my mom's to take my dad to the funeral home via a...
