I have talked with retired Georgia LE about this case and a major point they brought out was...why hasn't GBI been brought in?

I am surprised the local politicians are not putting the pressure on SS. Maybe it is time for residents of Lake Oconee to talk with their representatives.

I was wondering if SS opened up a 501c3 in order to advertise donations would be tax deductible. In my experience, it takes time to get government approval for a 501c3. I don't understand how (or why) SS has made this tax deductible...please talk to me accountants.

I have served on a CrimeStoppers Board and never have seen anyone get a tax deductable receipt before. Was SS targeting certain people for this refund? If so, why? With all the assistance SS has, why didn't someone open up a FB account and paypal? There is another thing that bothers...

I don't understand. What is the dollar amount that will make somebody talk? It is $50,000, is it $75,000, or will they not talk until it reaches $300,000? Is somebody just waiting to see how high the reward goes? I am beginning to think someone got by with a double murder.

How do we know the closest and dearest didn't run a huge donation through RP? Maybe they have been advised by LE to give anonymously. My young friends who live at LO are not worried. My retirement age friends who live down there are a little more cautious, but not scared of being the next...

BBM This is one reason I linked (earlier today) the crime report from the Eatonton Messenger. Wonder if any of those names will pop up again.

On the Eatonton Messenger homepage it denotes the most popular stories/articles. I think it is interesting that Crime Watch is top on the list today. This particular article is dealings with arrest and mugshots right before and after the Dermonds' murder...

I bet you are correct about a gun being in his car and for all we know he could have had another one beside the bed. When my dad was that age he had one available when in the car and at home. He always said, "it levels the playing field."

If perp wasn't planning on killing them, did he bring a gun with him? Many of us think Mr D was shot in the head...where did perp get the gun?

I don't think they hung out in the house overnight...way too risky. Plus if they did live on the property at GW, they probably live with someone else and they would need to explain where they had been all night. Eatonton closes up at 9pm...you might find a convenience store open a little later.
