Found Deceased Jay Slater, 19, missing on holiday in Tenerife, 17 June 2024 #4

…. Just to add… I am leaning more more towards the conclusion that he was recruited before he went though as point of sale in the clubs, and maybe to carry stuff back

Found Deceased Jay Slater, 19, missing on holiday in Tenerife, 17 June 2024 #4

Lol well I did say it was imagination. I was a bit vague because it was in response to someone else – not meaning that the teenagers go down to the jetty, more that they are useful for transporting home the stuff that gets brought up from the jetty. As for the Casa being on booking.com, even...

Found Deceased Jay Slater, 19, missing on holiday in Tenerife, 17 June 2024 #4

This thread was closed, I was bursting with thoughts and posted the below elsewhere (in response to someone else who said much the same days ago, I've just added bits). It's pure speculation even just imagination, I have no idea what really happened - but what if..... Its not really a bnb - it...

UK - Constance Marten & Mark Gordon charged, Newborn (found deceased), Bolton Greater Manchester, 5 Jan 2023 #4

As they walk out of shot the words I hear are "Toots... I'm gonna ask you again.... are you upset"

UK - Constance Marten & Mark Gordon & Newborn (found deceased), Bolton Greater Manchester, 5 Jan 2023 #2 *Arrest*

(edited to add snipped, as it's this part I'm referring to) Totally agree - possible to be both perpetrator and victim. We don't know much about what really happened and why. It just strikes me that terrible choices were made by two people who, for whatever reason, don't appear to be thinking...

Found Deceased UK - Nicola Bulley Last Seen Walking Dog Near River - St Michaels on Wyre (Lancashire), Jan 2023 #18

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed> ... didn't the person that found NB had a dog with them?

I stand by the work of the police and believe that everything they do, and the information they do and don't release is for a reason. I also believe in their expertise, or that they call in expertise where needed. I don't think any feasible line of enquiry will be overlooked or ignored. In the...

Found Deceased UK - Nicola Bulley Last Seen Walking Dog Near River - St Michaels on Wyre (Lancashire) #9

In an earlier thread, someone here who knows that stretch of the river well commented that a body would be very unlikely to go over the weir given the water level of the river at that time (I'd link but can't find it - there was also a you tube video of an angler there). It's just occurred to...

Are there places where the river is wider and can be more easily crossed, ie by wading? Is it possible that NB could have crossed the river, or been taken across the river, and this is why there is no evidence of her leaving the area?

Found Deceased UK - Nicola Bulley Last Seen Walking Dog Near River - St Michaels on Wyre (Lancashire) #5

Glad the river is being searched with new equipment. I've got no idea where NB could be, but the big questions in my mind (maybe these have been answered or asked before, I've lost some of the plot) are: How well behaved is the dog - ie does he ever run off, disappear, or does NB ever lose...

Recovered/Located UK - Constance Marten & Mark Gordon & Newborn, left a broken down car on motorway, Bolton Greater Manchester, 5 Jan 2023

I don't think they will be part of any community, or will have asked for any help from anyone at all. They seem to have lived a very isolated life, with no friends, cut off from everyone and I think this is how they are living now - in total isolation. I don't think they have anyone in their...

Recovered/Located UK - Constance Marten & Mark Gordon & Newborn, left a broken down car on motorway, Bolton Greater Manchester, 5 Jan 2023

I still wonder whether there was something more in the burnt out vehicle that was found and hasn't been disclosed. The car was left in haste, on foot, with no chance to carry anything heavy or bulky, and clues as to their activities or intentions could have been left behind - something that...

Found Deceased UK - Nicola Bulley Last Seen Walking Dog Near River - St Michaels on Wyre (Lancashire) #2

Just trying to think of other possibilities - What if NB suddenly realises dog has disappeared, runs to look for dog (or chases after dog) and is the victim of a hit and run - so may not be in the area she is expected to be found. Even worse, someone could have then tried to conceal what...

That's really interesting. I've never tried them but have a couple of packets in the cupboard from my teenager's phase of making "chia jelly" - might go and bung some in the coffee grinder!

BBM Lol true about better places to look for a victim. I think I had something more co-incidental in mind though - person with demons spends time at a deserted place, happens across another person and bad things happen.

You're right that does sound a bit odd but it didn't strike me as odd at the time, I can't remember exactly where I read it - the man was a prolific blogger so maybe it was on there. It was a few years ago but I had a v quick look now and his blogs are still online. My friend's life has been...

Thanks @CoverMeCagney - funnily enough I was just cooking pasta and thinking about the cultural difference thing, and wondering whether that was a factor. As well as peoples' own personalities of course. I live in the north west of England and often chat with strangers. I've have had some...

BBM On the subject of vulnerability - my take on this is that is just takes one person, whether in a city, on a trail, or anywhere else, who is minded to do another person harm. I don't see why persons in the wilderness should be perceived as any less likely to do so at all, particularly in...
