    Good news (if it can ever be seen as such) for Joanna's family. They will now, at least, have some answers. There must be a feeling that there is a VERY high chance of a murder charge, hence the decision to reject the manslaughter plea. IMO.

    Regarding the GF and the court appearance on Monday- it was a media scrum and I doubt anyone that close to the person appearing would want to be a target for the press. JMO.

    It's been reported that the missing sock is believed to have been used to wipe the crime scene and not for strangulation. Also being reported is that the girlfriend of the man in custody was at a party 30 miles from Bristol at the time Jo Yeates disappeared.
