It's a very strange case. Golden Gate park is very large, and there are many areas that don't see a lot of people in it. There are packs of coyote's that live in the park as well.

Well, it is interesting that Highway 101 runs through: Cloverdale, Humboldt State University, Garberville CA, as well as Crescent City. A known or believed SRHM victim Caroline Davis was from Garberville. It is at the least worth some investigation.
