    GUILTY Australia - Andrew, 45, Rose, 44, & Chantelle Rowe, 16, slain, Kapunda, 8 Nov 2010 #6

As it is said....."there is the law and there is justice....often they are two different thing"

I totally agree...if someone takes another's life/lives the guilty should NEVER be freed...full stop, end of story, case closed. But, I believe it is the case that the law is providing a glimmer to those convicted to encourage a straight guilty plea. A straight forward plea then saves untold...

    GUILTY Australia - Andrew, 45, Rose, 44, & Chantelle Rowe, 16, slain, Kapunda, 8 Nov 2010 #6

I don't think there is any chance for an appeal. 'It', (sorry I won't speak his name), gave instructions to his lawyer to not argue nor appeal any sentence handed down. I don't believe it was a case of acceptance of wrong doing nor acceptance the he deserves what he gets....I think he know he...

This case has me spinning still too. Just can't let go of the sorrow, shock, sickness and senseless of it all. JIMO, as I said before, if he blindsided so many this time around, the thing that could evolve after a few more years of practising his supressed rage would be completely unthinkable...

    GUILTY Australia - Andrew, 45, Rose, 44, & Chantelle Rowe, 16, slain, Kapunda, 8 Nov 2010 #6

Should have been 1 year non-parole for every wound inflicted. To add insult, the sentence is back-dated to when first charged/taken into custody. For what I understood, Justice Sulan said, "non-parole periods are to run concurrently", meaning is 35 years non-parole for each person but the...

Thanks for that. Just looked up time etc too. Was wondering same as you re: Justice Blue. Justice Blue presided over today's sittings too. Hope this does not affect outcome in any way.......or stall even further....however, it does say 'for sentence' so can only assume will be just that.

Hi, Sorry don't know yet but the court listings are posted on web after 5 p.m. each day for the next day's appearances. I will check today and post on here if you like. I suspect will be reasonably early but won't say for sure until I look. Ok? Cheers.

Couldn't agree more. 'Lighter' for saying sorry....pleading guilty....his age.....What?.......the ONLY thing this thing is sorry for is getting caught...even then it continued to lie, lie, lie, blame others, someone else.....blah blah blah.....like I said....NEVER TO BE RELEASED.

Hey Cyclone....was all but confirmed in court as per forensic scene examination that patterns around Rose indicated she was on her hands and knees whilst he continued to attack....blunt force trauma to head, ribs and stomach were also found on her and Channy.....it also punched them. Sorry that...

Yeah, is ridiculous to compare a murder, neither is worse than the other because there isn't a 'better' sort of murder for G sake! All of these violent, cruel, calculated, vicious and sadistic crimes are all the same. One soul dies or 3 or a dozen, the result should be the same with regard to...

Hi, He told police recently where clothes and weapons were. Clothes found but weapons not. Not conclusive if he went armed or not and there appeared to be nothing missing from home itself. Location of clothing not mentioned in court. No reason given for him redressing Channy (creepy...

Forgot to mention also that during that awful night Channy's bf texted her but it was intercepted by it. It attempted to answer the message to make it look like she responded but the bf did not rec. message because her phone had run out of credit.....the phone has not been recovered to date...

He parked his car around corner of the street. (NB eye witness can confirm he was seen driving up and down their street during the afternoon) Broke in through a bathroom window. Even though it was not made perfectly clear as to the exact sequence of events, as even investigators are not clear...

    GUILTY Australia - Andrew, 45, Rose, 44, & Chantelle Rowe, 16, slain, Kapunda, 8 Nov 2010 #6

Although there was some tension when matter of inconsistent plea came up even defence seemed to quell the question. But, can see that prosecution are making absolutely no mistakes/misunderstanding....understandable extra careful move. Sentencing submissions Monday March 26. Judge has set aside...

Hi Cyclone, hearing was this morning (Dec 12) at 10:30a.m. in the Supreme Court. Initially set for Sentencing Submissions when heard in the Magistrates Court at the last hearing but was subsequently listed 'For Mention Only' - which basically means a short hearing. JD present in person...
