Interesting theory. Couple problems: 1) My guess is she'd be ready to pass out after driving and drinking heavily, I can't see her hiking right after a drinking. Not even someone who's in shape like she is. 2) There was 2-3 feet of snow on ground at the time. I cannot see her walking far...

One thing that does haunt me is the 112Dirtbag/Beagle angle... the fact that this guy had a video of a lift ticket very close to where she disappeared with a date just a few days afterwards. I can't get that fact out of my head for some reason. There's just no way that is a coincidence, and...

That contradicts the NH cold case website: http://doj.nh.gov/criminal/cold-case/victim-list/maura-murray.htm

I've always thought there may have been a police impersonator with a scanner in the area at the time. It might also explain the Brianna Maitland disappearance. There is precedent for this sort of thing.

They have a link to Nancy Grace on that page, why is this Mr. Renner "profiting" off this case any more than her? What about the "Maura is Missing" newspaper article? Last I checked that newspaper was "for profit" as well.

I did not know her personally, someone on my facebook knew her personally and posted on the anniversary of her disappearance and I've been ... following this case ever since.

How did she commit suicide? With what?

Is this confirmed? Because if true it definitely changes how I think about this case.

I have this feeling this case will never be solved, at least not in our lifetimes. It's one of those mysteries that seems destined to always remain a mystery. Hope I'm wrong. :(

I just watched the Disappeared episode. People always suspect it's foul play. My personal opinion is he was wandering around in the woods, had an accident of some kind, and then succumbed to the elements.

It's probably not related but it's good to be informed. If it's not solved in a few months, I'd start looking at Maura's case with this one. One of the reasons I always doubted foul play was that there really weren't any other incidents in the area, if you look at the NH cold case map.

NH police search 2 cars after Maine mom vanishes If you look on a map 112 (aka the kancamangus highway) goes right through it. Mystery surrounds disappearance of young mother at N.H. ski area parking lot Note:Cranmore Ski Mountain is up Route 16 a little.

I think it's very clear that Maura did not want this guy around. The fact is, he "followed the rules" and called the cops despite the fact that Maura didn't even want him to do this. Were I a lone girl out in the middle of nowhere and some big 300 pound guy insisted on "staying with me" I'd be...

Wow, if I have evidence possibly related to a case remind me never to come forward, lest someone on the internet be "suspicious" of some detail. This is why the bus driver was so close lipped after a while and I don't blame him, all he tried to do was help and he "followed all the rules" and...
