GUILTY TX - Former Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger, indicted for Murder of Botham Shem Jean #7

AG's mom testified that Amber wished many times that she could take Botham's place. I don't believe that. She has spent the last year justifying her actions by villainizing him (in her own mind, at least). Maybe her recollections are real, but seriously flawed. We KNOW Botham could not have...

GUILTY TX - Former Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger, indicted for Murder of Botham Shem Jean #7

All of this is heartbreaking, but not as persuasive as what she did. I do not believe she feared for her life at any time (not even after the fact did she fear any sort of punitive consequences as she believed she would be protected and her actions justified/covered up). At all times (even IF...

GUILTY TX - Former Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger, indicted for Murder of Botham Shem Jean #6

From a personal perspective, no. However, I do feel we can celebrate the fact that this jury wasn't fooled by the "castle doctrine" and that this decision makes each of safer in our own homes.

GUILTY TX - Former Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger, indicted for Murder of Botham Shem Jean #6

I am so relieved. This case has popped into my head at random times since it happened. It has impacted me so deeply. I couldn't deal with further injustice to his family. Thank you to the brave jury.

GUILTY TX - Former Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger, indicted for Murder of Botham Shem Jean #6

This morning I drove my daughter to work with me, because I don't usually do school drop off. I always feared the "auto pilot" possibility of accidentally leaving a child in the car such that I was hyper vigilant about it, especially with schedule changes. I do believe she could have walked...

GUILTY TX - Former Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger, indicted for Murder of Botham Shem Jean #6

Is it possible the DA talked to the family about this? Is it possible that THEY wanted murder or nothing. I know if this was my child, I would want the murderess held accountable on that charge, though I can't stand the thought of her walking.

    GUILTY CO - Shanann Watts (34), Celeste"Cece" (3) and Bella (4), Frederick, 13 Aug 2018 *CW LWOP* #69

I believe he was already disengaged from the children. He was barely present for their Facetime calls, was acting disinterested (as per grandparents) and in those 6 weeks had become pretty comfortable living the young and single life.

    GUILTY CO - Shanann Watts (34), Celeste"Cece" (3) and Bella (4), Frederick, 13 Aug 2018 *CW LWOP* #69

I wonder if he took Bella and Cece in the truck, hoping they would fall asleep during the ride, to ultimately make his (premeditated) plan easier. The children were very light sleepers, so it is not surprising that Bella woke up during or immediately after the murder. And they were very early...

    GUILTY CO - Shanann Watts (34), Celeste"Cece" (3) and Bella (4), Frederick, 13 Aug 2018 *CW LWOP* #69

I understood from what was released that he killed both girls in the truck or at the site, but it wasn't clear to me that he actually climbed up and dumped (heartbreaking even to type) Cee Cee before returning to murder Bella? Is it possible he murdered them both (Cee Cee first, Bella second)...

    GUILTY CO - Shanann Watts (34), Celeste"Cece" (3) and Bella (4), Frederick, 13 Aug 2018 *CW LWOP* #68

I don't believe the "two fight" story. There is no way Shan'ann would have had a big blow up with Chris and not texted her closest friends about it. It was out of character for her. I still believe he planned this, she was too tired to engage him a fight/discussion, and she went to sleep shortly...

    GUILTY CO - Shanann Watts (34), Celeste"Cece" (3) and Bella (4), Frederick, 13 Aug 2018 *CW LWOP* #66

I’m sorry for the question, but this case leaves me up at night. Can we assume from the lack of defensive wounds that she slept through her murder? Is it possible to sleep through strangulation? I have this hope for her - that she wasn’t aware of this gruesome final betrayal.

CA - 13 victims, ages 2 to 29, shackled in home by parents, Perris, 15 Jan 2018 #6

I am saddened that the children are separated, but I think it is for the best in many ways. I would be surprised if there was not at least one child who is brainwashed/victimized enough to be advocating for the parents, and possibly encouraging the other kids to be quiet or lie. I recently...

Laura Babcock Murder Trial - *GUILTY*

I hate to hear that the jury is struggling. Once they are able to read the inadmissible evidence, they will find 100% peace. Thankful for justice today.

Laura Babcock Murder Trial 11.27.17 - Day 22

I'm confused about the evidence (and not just in the WTF sense). Are these "admissions" similar to "agreed statements of fact"? Can the Crown cross examine on these issues? Also, is he standing up and reading these admissions as in the role of lawyer, or is he seated as a witness?

I guess nobody has spotted CN in or around the courthouse?

    The Sidebar - Harris Trial

And all of these examples just don't apply to me when it is your baby. Your baby is dead - suddenly, "unexpectedly", horribly by your own actions. I would be more accepting of stoic and chatty when the death is prolonged and expected (and even then, I think it is not the norm). But for both...

Checking in for the date of CN's trial? I only remembered it was in November.

    Trial - Ross Harris #8

I keep doing these unofficial tests on my peripheral vision with my hand, seeing where it falls out (and that is me intending to look). I do believe that FBS is possible (and posted several threads back when I "forgot" my infant in the vehicle - fortunately for less than 90 seconds), but am...
