    Trial Thread: May 14, 2012

IMO she is showing waaaay too much cleve for a courtroom. I also think she talks too much and over answers. If there is one thing I learned from following the Casey Anthony ordeal is that if someone offers up more information than requested, more than likely they are lying.

    trial thread: 5/11/2012

Is there somewhere online where I can catch up and watch the trial videos from the beginning? I know with the Casey Anthony trial a lot of sites had the videos from the previous days, but I can't find it for this trial. Thanks in advance!

    Sidebar Discussion #3

The think the video is Casey, I don't think that is her in the Olive Garden pictures. She has stopped plucking/pulling out her eyebrows because she is not as stressed now that she is out of jail and is probably medicated to help with her anxiety. It also looks like she got veneers on her teeth.

    Conrad Murray trial -Day one.

Is there a site other than CNN that is streaming? Or even better, posting the videos from the entire day (similar to what WFTV.com did for the CA trial). Thanks!

2011.07.26-28 HLN & FOX (Weekly) News Coverage - Caylee Anthony

I am sure this has been mentioned somewhere, but Dr. Werner Spitz (the defense witness who called Dr. G's work a, "shoddy autopsy") was in the HBO documentary There is Something Wrong with Aunt Diane that aired this week (based on Diane Schuler who was drunk and high and drove the wrong way down...

Software designer says Casey Anthony prosecution data was wrong

How do we know that the issue was not addressed in a sidebar? Perhaps LDB and JA took the information once they found out on June 25th and told HHJP and HHJP said that the defense questioning and witness had already dispited the 84 times so it was on the record that there was a disagreement...

Now this right here, I have to admit, if it were brought in as evidence is a legitimate cause for reasonable doubt. It makes sense, gives a reason and a motive for George to dispose of Caylee's body in the manner it was found. If I were to believe that GA did molest ICA (which I don't) this...

That could be a whole other topic  Interesting does not mean unique. The story she created and the reality that unfolded were interesting. The access that we had to the legal documents and the process as it happened also made it interesting. Oh, and the fact that she was pretty. And white.

I believe you have misinformation. Dr. Spitz did not find coloring consistent with drowning. He said there COULD be coloring that is sometimes consistent with suffocation, but it was NOT found on Caylee's skull. The state also clearly, and sufficiently rebutted the claim by Dr. Spitz that the...

Just curious for people who believe the drowning theory, how do you discount Dr. G's statistic that 100% of the drowning cases she has come across have been reported? I imagine Dr. G has dealt with dozens, if not hundreds, of drownings as it is the #1 cause of death of children under 4 in...

Again, going from memory here - but do we know 100% for sure that there was not bleach and acetone (i.e. paint thinner) in the house or shed? I would find that hard to believe, unless they had been discarded first. I do remember, and am pretty certain, that Baez only asked Yuri if he found...

I would need to go back and re-listen to the testimony Dr. Vass gave, so I apologize in advance if I misspeak. But recalling from memory, I am pretty sure Dr. Vass said he was speaking on a conservative side when he said only 3 were found. It was more, but he eliminated those because they could...

If she had done that, there would have been a huge bleach stain on the trunk carpet liner.

It is like when a cat pees on the carpet, once the liquid has attached itself to a porous surface (i.e. the carpet liner in the trunk), it is difficult to get the smell out. I am NOT a chemist (:giggle:) , or I would try to explain further, but I imagine it has something to do with molecules...

I appreciate alternate theories and would actually feel some relief, and probably less angry about the verdict, if someone could post one that is actually reasonable and makes sense. But everything you wrote would still make her guilty of manslaughter/neglect.

To me, it doesn't matter what happened in between Casey searching for chloroform, having Caylee in the trunk of her car and the duct taped remains being found triple bagged in a swamp. The fact that it went from Point A to Point B, and all of the in between reasonably involves Casey, would be...

We will have to agree to disagree because I felt that the puzzle was put together in the only reasonable and logical way possible. My puzzle doesn't need a cause of death, or a weapon, or DNA evidence (especially because my common sense would tell me that after 6 months in a Florida swamp these...

I don't need cold, hard evidence. I looked at all of the evidence that the state presented - Casey last one to see Caylee, not reporting Caylee dead/missing for 31 days, made up the nanny story, partied for a month, chloroform in the car, "How to Make Chloroform" searched on the computer, smell...

    Professional Jurors

I have not seen any law professors or lawyers speak recently in the media and agree with the jury (admittedly, I have mostly been watching CNN and HLN so that could be why). As I am always open to other opinions and viewpoints, I would love to hear or see that, do you have any links?

And I think what is driving many of us crazy (or at least me, lest I speak for anyone else) is that the evidence WAS there. The jurors did just not know the rules to apply it properly when coming to a verdict. All of the jurors and alternates who have come out to speak have said "Oh well we...
