Celebrating a win in a case is normal I'd imagine. But doing it in a place where they could be seen when the case was such a high profile one about a child'd death... weeeell, that wasn't exactly TACTFUL. Probably best behind closed doors away from prying eyes.... the flipping the bird moment...
Aww, the photo they used of Caylee in that article - what a beautiful little girl she was.
And as I said to someone yesterday who was bemoaning the US justice system = well as a foreigner I'd say its not necessarily true. Course mistakes happen but the SPEED things get done in the states is...
Crikey, just reading the wiki on his case and ultimately he killed the poor woman with chloroform! Let alone all the other similarities when you read through the "investigation and trial" section (dodgy jury for instance!). Wow.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing! I bet if they had had an inkling what would happen in the end they would have been to report her to the police the very first time she stole.
I posted on this topic on another thread... but thought I'd post it here as well.
Its about Double Jeopardy. In the UK a bill was passed in 2003 to allow re-trial in serious cases but specifically only where significant new evidence comes to light following the initial trial/acquittal. See...
Sometimes they live though. I've seen big trees with massive burn marks and chunks missing where the lightning hit, but they still survive. I think it depends how much of the outer "sapwood" is lost. Anyway, I'm rooting for the tree! (no pun intended... well maybe a bit!).
It is still an...
I really hope the US gets to be more flexible with the double jeopardy thing. Here over the pond they allow re-trial in exceptional circumstances in big cases where significant new evidence comes to light after the first trial is over. Its a good thing. And certainly something like that would...
White "flower delivery" van outside the house? Classic FBI surveillance tactic! They'll be in there inside the van with headphones on monitoring what's going on inside the house. Well, in my imagination anyhow!
I think she'll be a walking freakshow personally. No doubt she'll get her hangers on and lackys, but ultimately all she has is infamy. There's only so many times she can "tell" her story. She'll be flavour of the month for trashy shows and magazines. But eventually.... people in the...
Well even small things can help make you feel better. Write to the C.E.O of Disney expressing your feelings. This man:

If nothing else, writing down how you feel can be a cathartic exercise in dealing with feelings. Also...
I have to agree here. For all I disagree with what they did and how they conducted themselves (and I know some think they did no wrong). Even given that I would hate to think of any vigilante doing harm to one of the jury members out of bitterness/hate. Two wrongs don't make a right.
I am surprised that the House of Mouse has let itself, by way of ABC, to become embroiled in this whole sad fiasco. They are very precious over their image - I have dealt with them many times in the past through my work. Even if ABC is just something they own, the connection is still there...
She's just going from one prison to another. In this new one she'll be trapped by her own infamy and I dare say will have to be looking over her shoulder for the rest of her days. I won't be losing any sleep over that fact.
