DM bought the Silver Kia, which is heavily connected to his alleged attacks, in 2012. There were five separate incidents in a 3 month period during late 2012 that involved potential stalking and abduction with that vehicle.
Has there been any mention of what he was driving in 2011?
It's actually two building on the south side of 10th. The lower of the two is Morton Mansions, the upper one didn't exist at the time if he wants to cut his big lead in half.
At the time, there was construction on the SR45 overpass of Beanblossom Creek 1 mile north of where she was found, which made the road impassable from either direction.
I think we've long suspected the reason given for why they were interested in the truck, because it appeared to circle the block twice, didn't make much sense as the misaligned video would have shown every car that passed through doing the same thing.
Have to wonder now if they received a...
Just because we know these reporter discrepancies tend to nag:

This pretty clearly sounds like a promising lead, though credibility is quite sketchy. The specificity into the pieces of identification should hopefully trigger LE a bit, since they should have a good idea of what has actually been accounted for and what may be missing. There have long been...
On my first reading I sort of assumed he had grabbed clothes from home with the intention of running away, but now I'm wondering if the clothes weren't even his and he was trying to get rid of them.
Just to clean this up, the seized Kia was a 2012 model.
Hopefully, since he may not have been the registered owner, the car he regularly drove in 2011 can be ascertained from interviews/insurance listings/his speeding citation in 2009.
Here's an image to one of Messel's earlier mugshots (I believe dated between '96 and '99, but could be from earlier). It jumped out a bit since his appearance seemed quite different at first glance.
Follow up from the FBI agent that recently took an interest in Lauren's case-

Maybe these are the things you remember after the fact, but hmmmm.

One of my first thoughts was if he was involved with the LS disappearance, and there has been no sign of her, why wouldn't he take this body to the same undiscovered location. But then I realized trying to apply logic to the mind of whatever this person is, may not be the wisest investigatory...
In one section they use "His vehicle, a 2012 Kia Sportage..." in another "The car towed by police was not owned by Messel". Making payments perhaps? I read it as it was his car, just not listed on the title.
Maybe worth adding a dot for Hilton Garden Inn that she was at just before Kilroys? Also, maybe a slight clarification, that while she was a member of the sorority on your map, we have not yet received official word where her residence (and presumed destination) was. I know that upper class...
Realize this is a bit extraneous to the facts at hand, but what exactly does a person in this situation do for 12+ hours?
No cell phone, car that is visibly incriminating/suspicious, don't show up for work or go home... Just saying that there is potentially additional people that may have...
Noticed Lauren's picture on the front page of foxnews.com today as a potential tie-in with Hannah Wilson. Sad that it had to come at the expense of another life, but encouraging to again get a bit of national exposure.

"According to Messel's father, his son went out to Yogi's Bar and Grill for trivia night with friends at 8:00 pm, something he does every Thursday night."
Yogi's is at the corner of 10th and Indiana, roughly a half mile to the 10th and...
