BBM, the whole investigation or non-investigation thing bugs me, would not the desk officer notice the panic or fretting of a mother (who knows her daughter)better than a LE officer, when she was reporting her missing?

Put yourself in her position, its not just a case of committing suicide but you would have to do it in a way whereby your body would not be found for close on 40yrs???, how would you do that? jump down a mine shaft, or a well not knowing if the fall will kill you, for me suicide is not an...
That will be so good for us as we have only been able to give our own opinions on the little information that we have had to go on. My own personal gripe is with the seemingly lack of interest shown by LE, can you shed any light on that for us MMQC?..
This is the thing that I do not understand, someone is reported missing,and the police decide if they are going to investigate or not?? I cannot get my head around that, did they at that time decide which cases they wanted to work on and which ones they didn't?..
