    LA - Mickey Shunick, 21, Lafayette 19 May 2012 - #26

rsbm. There are umpteen more pages in this particular thread as I read this, so I apologize if someone else has voiced this sentiment. As an adult, I see your point. When I was her age, and even quite a bit younger, I pretty much thought I was invincible. Or, just didn't think about safety at...

    Unclassified Victims **MERGED**

Thank you for digging cases up :) This is not MSM, but since it's from the DA's office, I assume it's safe to link to it: http://www.co.hunterdon.nj.us/prosecutor/pressrelease/2012/May12-RecoveredRemainsRndValley.pdf Apparently a lot of people have gone missing IN the lake over the years. I...

    Unclassified Victims **MERGED**

I guess I cannot link to the sites I found this info on, but I found it fairly quickly. Since I can't link and it's not MSM, take it for what it's worth. What was found is allegedly a foot. Not sure what I can quote, either, since it's not MSM, so I will paraphrase my take on what I read. A...

Possible IT, Computer & Tech. Connection to the Long Island Case, Perp & Victims

Sorry! The thing about a non-business entity having a static IP was just a side point. Obviously you know private individuals can have them, as you have 5. I figured you were just generalizing, but it really doesn't matter :) And the rest does not much matter either. I was just pointing out...

Possible IT, Computer & Tech. Connection to the Long Island Case, Perp & Victims

I'm not disagreeing with anything you said. Well, except that you can have a static IP without being a business :) I answered upthread as vaguely as I did because I do not know where this IP addy in question came from. From something posted on a public site that shows the poster's IP? A...

Possibly related cases (GB4, Manorville, Bittrolff victims, & others)

Did MW smoke cigarettes, anyone know? I don't recall reading one way or the other. That would be a sure-fire reason a female might walk to that store (IF she did) in the dark alone. You'll do just about anything to get smokes when you run out. Surely LE checked this store, and any available...

Well I guess it's good to know you do not find me suspicious for having burlap. But also why I think the burlap itself may not be an obvious clue to anyone or any type in particular. Of course it *could* be, but IMO is not necessarily indicative of profession :deadhorse: I can think of quite...

The Rumor Mill -- unsubstantiated, yet possible relevant information

I saw UFO's post too, but didn't know what it was referring to. And I noticed that same quote in the article! Ridiculous that they would not investigate just because it didn't seem logical. What would they investigate, if it had to first appear logical?! urgh.

The Rumor Mill -- unsubstantiated, yet possible relevant information

Thanks so much, Samantha Spade. I had somehow not heard about this. So very disturbing. I know there are tons of faked films out there. but it would have taken very little time from any of the LE people to at least take a look when first notified. Maddening!

Possibly related cases (GB4, Manorville, Bittrolff victims, & others)

In that map upthread, there is an On the Run Mobil station at the corner of the LIE service road. Seems most other things surrounding that hotel are industrial or various businesses you wouldn't expect anyone to walk to and patronize after midnight. Maybe I missed one that's not labelled though...

The Rumor Mill -- unsubstantiated, yet possible relevant information

Might I ask, to which case are you referring, Samantha Spade? Doesn't sound familiar. Just curious.

Shannan Gilbert Found, death declared an accident. What do you think?

Glad to see everyone in a more jovial mood today. Maybe we should get back on topic before we all get in trouble :giggle:

The Rumor Mill -- unsubstantiated, yet possible relevant information

Snuff rock music videos - now that's a new one for me. Just curious, did you see these "snuff rock music videos" yourself? All I found was some IMO cheesy videos with a character who allegedly claims to be/portrays herself as a dominatrix. IMO, she's just wearing cheesy metal gear. If you did...

Possibly related cases (GB4, Manorville, Bittrolff victims, & others)

Okay, gotcha. Thank you for expanding. Oh but it *is* common. I think it's been discussed before, but you can walk into just about any place that sells fabric and buy a yard or a roll. You can get it at home improvement or gardening type places as well, and sporting goods stores, and...

Here is a link to the various cab/livery/limo license holder data for NYC. Some lists show the base addresses for the company. Someone driving back then could have let their license expire; not sure how long they last. Or someone could have been driving without the proper license I guess...

Peter, were you a pimp prior to your writing career? :floorlaugh:

Shannan Gilbert Found, death declared an accident. What do you think?

Perhaps. I just meant the functional reason. There may have also just been the subconscious reasoning of the "too cool for school" type attitude...people who wear shades indoors and such. Whatever the case, I have not seen that show for a while now, but do not remember anything that looked like...

Shannan Gilbert Found, death declared an accident. What do you think?

I always just assumed AD wore shades during the interview to somewhat hide his appearance. He is after all, admitting to his not-so-illustrious profession, or at minimum his involvement in, prostitution.
