Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #1

If I'm doing my math right DH was only 16 in 1982, not the likely culprit in Des Moines...

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #1

As far as going unnoticed... This area is sparsely populated, sometimes miles between houses. You can park out on a road for hours and not see a single car. As teens we went out to the country (aka farmland) to do all of our shenanigans and we weren't even trying to be quiet or fly under the...

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #1

And as far as the grave site not being noticed, these farms are huge! Farmers don't walk the land, they plow the farmable area. The windbreak goes untouched, they would have no reason to notice that area.

Remains found confirmed as Jacob Wetterling/Suspect led LE to Remains #1

I don't post very often, mostly lurk. But having spent my first 32 years as a Minnesotan and being only a few years older than Jacob, also growing up in small town Minnesota this case is close to my heart and I though I could clear some things up. For all those wondering about the farming...

It is in the hands of the jury. This is a good article. http://www.adn.com/2014/04/24/3440534/trial-over-double-murder-at-coast.html?sp=/99/100/&ihp=1

GUILTY MN - Byron Smith charged with murder after shooting 2 teens

He certainly ended up with a good lawyer! The Meshbeshers have been a huge name in criminal defense in MN for a long time. They are involved in lots of high profile cases. This lawyers father got Margorie Congdon off in the Glensheen murders in the 70's. That was the game clue in real life.

GUILTY AK - Richard Belisle 51 & James Hopkins 41, murdered, Coast Guardsmen, Kodiak Island, 12 April 2012

Kodiak is a nice place to be stationed if you like Alaska. This crime shook up the community a lot. The suspect was obviously being watched closely by the FBI for a year before he was arrested. It was unnerving to run into him around town! I can only imagine how difficult it was for one of the...

GUILTY AK - Richard Belisle 51 & James Hopkins 41, murdered, Coast Guardsmen, Kodiak Island, 12 April 2012

I am so glad this case is finally on trial. It was the most violent to happen in kodiak for a very long time. I just thought I would bump it since it is currently in the news.

GUILTY AK - Richard Belisle 51 & James Hopkins 41, murdered, Coast Guardsmen, Kodiak Island, 12 April 2012

It is so strange that this story isn't getting more national coverage, or even local coverage. Here in Kodiak we certainly hear more than is covered on the news but still no arrest... These things don't happen very often here and especially on base. I would be interested for some experienced...

    The cries for help

I have listened to the 911 call many times. It does certainly seem as though the screaming stops as soon as the shot is fired. While it is obvious why TM would stop screaming, why would GZ? If he were the screamer I don't think he would stop screaming as soon as he fired the shot. He...

What evidence does the prosecution have?

Thanks for the welcome! I usually just read but I thought I might actually have something to add this time :)

What evidence does the prosecution have?

I have been lurking on WS for quite some time but this is my first post. I can't see that this has been brought up yet but I have to admit I did not read everything (it would take weeks :). If TM was on top of GZ (as he and a witness claim) when he was shot, why isn't his blood all over...
