Question for L4B ... listened to the latest episode today. The retired detective made a comment about Brian not agreeing with his father's lifestyle. Do you have any idea what that means? It was an odd statement that piqued my curiosity.
Really enjoying the podcast!

Have followed Brian's case since he first disappeared and do not recall any alleged sightings other than the homeless man.

Ah! I was basing my response on North Atherton to Science Park to Saybrooke ... which may also not be five miles, but it certainly felt like it while driving! I blame the woods. :)
OT: What's in the Eat 'n Park now? Was bummed when it closed. So many memories.

Great post. I lived in State College from the late-80s through 2015. The only part of your post I disagree with (slightly) is that Sayebrook is walkable from the Wal-Mart Plaza. Technically, anything is walkable if you have enough time, but Sayebrook is a haul to walk from Wal-Mart. It's got to...
Even though my heart sinks with each passing day, I'm still holding a glimmer of hope that Tim's case has a (relatively) happy resolution, like this one in NYC.

This is one of the reasons I'm wondering about a heart attack. Had to wait to mention it until I had time to back up my thoughts with a link.

I'm still not convinced that Tim didn't go out for a walk/run and suffer a fatal medical emergency. If he was under a great deal of stress, he could have had a heart attack. It would explain so much (to me) --- Bo left at home, all of his things left in the house except (if I read correctly...
I am stuck on this detail of the case. Let's think out loud about why he may have made this request. Here's what I've come up with so far. What others are there?
1. Tim had reason to believe some entity was out to get him and didn't want an innocent neighbor implicated. This doesn't make sense...
As of right now, I'm leaning toward suicide (unfortunately). For purposes of discussing all possibilities, though ... might it be possible that Tim went for a run in the woods, suffered a medical emergency, and passed away there, in the brush? That could explain why everything was left at home...
Have been wondering about this. Also thinking about the possibility of an acting classmate who was obsessed, or who was interested in her but she didn't feel the same.

I'm not into the scene at all. I go to a lot of shows, but am not the clubbing type. It's easy to see how Hollywood would break people who aren't ready for it, especially young women separated from their families and longtime friends. As a former film student, I love Hollywood for its history...
I live in Los Angeles. It's also full of some pretty great people. I could never live in the OC. To each their own.

Wasn't Leah Altmann also last seen at a coffee shop in Hollywood? Not the same one -- it was a Panera, I think -- but still an interesting coincidence.
