The admin finally found my old account so Ozwitch is dead and Spotted Reptile rises again. Sorry for the confusion. Changing identities is hard, and so it should be.
I hadn't realised that police knew that Allecha went willingly with the perp to Coolamon. Was that in the media or inside...
I'm still thinking they're working on someone associated with BS and trying to get them to spill. This person may or may not know or admit to themselves the full extent of BS's involvement. Could be that they are trying to build up the case against BS for this person - as each little piece...
You're right, it's brazen and hard to believe. But if you knew he was already there because someone had told you her little grandson was coming, you just pop by to scope out the lay of the land and there is your opportunity. If you had a cast-iron excuse to be there, engaged in chat with...
There is a lot of forested area around the Southern Highlands, and a lot of camps various that are used from time to time - religious retreats, health spas, etc. I suppose nudist colonies are just as populous but I never heard of it while I was living there for 10 years. It must be quite...
OK thanks Leep. It could be that the room behind William is an ironing/multipurpose work room, but downstairs under the house is where the actual washing is done. I remember in NSW a lot of the laundries are outside or under the house; whereas in Vic most laundries are inside (because it's so...
I thought the laundry was at the back of the porch where the pic of William playing on the sundeck was taken. I think somebody saw a packet of washing powder on the window ledge behind William. I'm not sure it's been confirmed that the washing machine was 'at the side of the house' and...
Oh, Jubelin knows what's he doing, all right. I do remember in Underbelly when they had Anthony Perish under arrest, but weren't sure if they had enough to convict, Jubelin said "somebody has to roll or this pr*ck is going to walk." And of course, two people rolled very gratifyingly and he was...
My point is that no one besides Colin, has ever confirmed the 10am time. Colin only said it was because he'd downloaded a bank receipt, which I doubt would have shown that info to him. So it could have been later or earlier if you discount Colin's statement.
We only have Colin's word for it that the bank "statement" says 10am. My debit card shows the day but not the time. Even then, it's not the day that the transaction happened, it's the day that the bank processed it.
The bank itself may have internal records that show times of transaction, but...
Thinking no doubt that this was a brilliant strategy, and not realising that detectives have seen this kind of move dozens of times before. It would be one of the first things they would ping to. Criminals always think they're two steps ahead of the cops, most times they're following a well-worn...
I'm with you on this Butterstick. You can start treading on some very dangerous ground if you pre-empt the court system, lousy and frustrating as it is sometimes.
I see a lot of potential to destroy innocent lives. Yes I know children are innocent too, but if we go round with pitchforks...
I've been re-reading through the old threads (it's been raining!) and something struck me about the early police investigation and statements: Did the police at any time issue a general warning to the community after William had been taken? You know, something along the lines of be extra...
what a brilliant article. It gives me a lot of hope in our forces and that some people will get their justice even after decades of pain and frustration. Good journalism too.
I hope they increase the number of lab techs so all this new info can be processed, though, otherwise it is going to be...
This is probably what drives some cops to the wall - detectives like Jubelin bust a gut and ruin their marriages and some do-gooder judge gives this lowlife a slap on the wrist and practically an invite to do it all over again.
TGY, it's so wonderful that he can open up and talk to you about the troubling things he's seen. Just having someone listen is a huge help. Even if they don't share the experience or know completely what trauma you have seen, it makes you feel less alone.
I too have a friend who is still a cop...
You only have to look as far as the BBC child sex scandals and those that have occurred in the north of England to see that some very influential and famous people are quite okay with the hideous crimes perpetrated on innocent little kids. In fact, they convince themselves that they are doing...
