i said this a few years ago, but my pov hasn't changed - make up a fake name then google it. you'll find tons of wild stuff. not necessary for him to have been aware of the book or character.
wow, glad her daughter will have some answers. not surprised it was a less than salacious end-result. cults, spies, kidnappings, murders, and on and on. turns out she just wanted to start over for personal reasons.
i did the requisite ancestry search and found someone with the name and right age range at a catholic girls' school in philly but of the two references one didn't have a picture and the other was too grainy to see much (but didn't look like her). someone else might have better luck.
there was a timeline at the bottom that had new information indicating she is from philadelphia and real name is kimberly mcclean. someone else said it indicated she left home in 1986 at age 18 but i didn't personally see that before the timeline was removed from the article.
different spelling according to google (news article could be wrong though). missing kimberlEy mcclean was born in 1957. probably stretching flek's age a bit too much?
my guess is they are in the process of updating the old article and someone started by updating the timeline. they probably weren't expecting a hundred people from websleuths to be crawling their site for updates.
yes, scroll down to the timeline. it's at the bottom. from philadelphia. kimberly mclean. sounds like an ancestry.com match was found to a relative who recognized her.
i do too. i think it's easily explained as one of those family rumors. astridxx is talking to a niece, which is good, but the further you get from the original source the more these rumors turn into facts. i think it's likely the family has been trying to explain the entire thing within their...
Map of Area
From page 1 of this thread:
"Search teams found Brandon Swanson's car a half mile north of Minnesota Highway 68 on the border between Lincoln county and Lyon county."
"The search on Thursday focused on an area near Taunton and the Lincoln-Lyon County Line road, less than a...
i question what is meant by "ping". iirc her mother told a neighbor her phone had pinged at that location and this was told to the neighbor the same afternoon she went missing. there's no way to pull actual phone provider ping data that fast and certainly not without a warrant. it's possible an...
the problem with anagramming is there is no verifiable pattern so it's really all just guessing. the likelihood is that the end text is just random letters to fill out the remaining spaces after the real message.
i follow this one off and on but was wondering if anyone had a theory as to why the father would have killed his son? is the assumption that he was planning to do so as retribution to the ex-wife, or that it was a spur of the moment thing?
the only thing that makes sense to me is that adnan, jay, and jenn are all lying to protect themselves from....something. jay's ever-changing stories, adnan's selective amnesia, and none of the call records/pings lining up with any versions of the stories leads me to believe all three were...
accent could depend on what and how much he said. i have a neighbor who is french and you wouldn't pick it up in a quick conversation because he talks very quietly. it's not until you get into a long conversation with him that you realize he has a very marked french accent. just my 2 cents that...
