Sky News UK reporting that the Judge condemned him to a whole life sentence for the murder and abduction of little April and perverting the course of justice.
We can now only hope that he will "remember" where he left little April and tell her poor family so they can finally lay her to rest...
Guilty of murder and abduction of AJ. The jury obviously didn't believe a word he said. Prosecution strong, defense weak. Tears for little April, RIP. Sentencing this afternoon.
Obviously very dysfunctional family, unfortunately not the first time a mother choses a boyfriend over her children. Sometimes children from such environments are more exposed to dangerous situations.
I hope Michelle will be surrounded by people to support, love and help her going on from here.
If this monster (and his monster brothers) treated his wife like that, imagine how he treated the kidnapped girls for 10 years. I am surprised they are alive today.
I hope they all get the love, care & time they need to recover from this unbelievable ordeal. :(
Hi all, top three stories on UK Sky news right now are: this missing women case and the Tia Sharp & April Jones trials.
Let's hope Madeleine McCann is found too.
That is a good point and explains away why a strangers behavior may seem odd & unnerving to us sometimes. However, the person who posted this incident also mentioned another boy nearby.
Is it possible that someone else was using his car? Somebody mentioned on here that the car may have been parked up to deliver something or see someone - little April recognized the car, said "I know them" & climbed in. Her friend didn't want to join her so she went off home, to "tell", the...
I agree with you.
Also, I feel MB had some sort of acute mental breakdown/crisis prior to carrying out this horrific act and that he is now remorseful & embarrassed/afraid to admit what he has done, that's why he (frustratingly) won't say where little April is. IMO
By the way, has it ever...
Why won't he confess to where she is then? He must realize that not "helping" now, after the event, puts him in an even worse position. Or has his lawyer told him to say nothing?
Thanks. Many times I have wanted to say something & quote the source, I just don't know how too! The fear of someone saying "where does it say that?" puts me off. So I just read on & I hope another (more savvy) poster will do it for me & cover what I want to say. Where can I learn how to...
BBM When I read this, a thought came to me, maybe he broke down and admitted he did take her, then that she died, but he drank/took drugs and really can't recall what he did or where he went that night. Police found evidence to back up the claim that she died so they upped the charge to murder...
They could charge him on the basis of a confession but they would still have to back it up by forensic evidence, etc. as he could retract his confession later or say he was forced/coerced into making it.
IMO it was no accident nor was it unintended - he would have told the police where her...
That would truly be a shame. The next worst thing for her parents/family/community.
Lets hope they do find her or MB gives up and tells them (if its him).
I think everyone is sad at the outcome of this case, frustrated that little April still hasn't been found, angry that MB (if he's the culprit) won't reveal where she is and worried about proof of his guilt/innocence because the police have not given out much info.
One hopes that the police...
Hello, was this in USA? As in UK it usually takes 7 years to get a death certificate for a missing person - unless authorities have other convincing proof of death. This causes many legal problems for the family dealing with the missing persons estate.
IMO the police must have very firm...
