    CA CA - Bryce Laspisa, 19, Castaic, 30 Aug 2013 - #1

Does the evidence support him being attacked, his car stolen by the attacker then wrecked by the attacker several miles later? Haven't been able to read everything but at the surface, it sounds like a feasible theory. He is from my area in IL and is getting news coverage here. Hope all the...

100 jury questions: what is YOUR prediction? *no discussion*

Do you have an x-ray of your finger that was taken any time after the injury (even recently) that shows a bone in your bent finger has previously been broken (rather than a cut tendon)? Or, asked in another way, Has a doctor examined your bent finger in preparation for this trial? Can you...

Very true - why not get it fixed (could say she had no $ or insurance). I think it would be very difficult to cut a tendon to create that severe of a deformity with a kick to the hand - probably nearly impossible. I would guess a doctor could testify that there is a very high probability it is...

A simple x-ray could definitively rule out her story if it shows her finger had never been broken. It wouldn't prove the prosecution theory of a torn tendon ON June 4th but it could definitively prove she is a liar about January 22. It's highly likely that because the defense has produced no...

Except an X-ray can't be manipulated - though Jodi might have a way. I just believe that if it had ever been broken, the defense would show an X-ray to prove it. Since they haven't, odds are very good that it would help the prosecution.

I think if Jodi knew it had ever been broken the defense would happily show the X-ray but it clearly looks like the tendon's been cut and no broken bones. I'm sure you're right, though - the prosecution feels it can be proven without an X-ray.

Yes- just wish the prosecution could make her do it since it's key to her defense. Or at least ask her in front of the jury if she would be willing to clear it up and prove her claims with an x-ray. The jury would think, seems logical, why don't you do it, Jodi?

You are right on all points but I would love to have definitive, no wiggle-room proof that she is lying to help clear Travis' name. It's frustrating because it seems that it can be resolved SO EASILY through a simple x-ray. I'd love to see her try to explain that away. Hopefully the jury has...

I know - seems to be such an easy and definitive way to resolve this issue. She probably has not had an x-ray taken and would refuse it if she knew that it would not support her claims. I don't know that she can be forced to do it. If I was the prosecution, I think it would be worth the...

Why doesn't she just get an x-ray taken to prove that a bone in her finger was broken? That would shut down the cut tendon argument and greatly bolster her defense. Why doesn't she do it? Hmmm... That would be a great juror question. You would think more of her blood would be there with a...

Seems like she wouldn't have had to secretly tell him to tell the truth. She gave her "confession" over a year earlier so her "truth" was out there for a while. If they didn't have to get their stories straight (because they are based on lies, not truth), just saying "tell the truth" would be...

Would the cut from the attack on June 4th have healed by the time of the interrogation on July 16th (video with Flores) enough so that LE would not have taken note of it even if she cut a tendon? Flores looked at her finger during her interrogation but I guess it wasn't noteworthy enough for...

Yes, that makes sense about the defense and the x-ray - they would present it if it helped their case. Would be nice if the prosecution could require her to do it. The Boutonniere Deformity fits the prosecution's version of events because it happens as a result of cutting the tendon and looks...

I would guess that the finger issue could be resolved with an x-ray to determine if the bent finger is the result of a cut tendon due to sliding across the blade of the knife during her attack on Travis (resulting in boutonniere deformity) or a break as Jodi claims. If the prosecution can't...
