    Deceased/Not Found UK - April Jones, 5, Machynlleth, Wales, 1 Oct 2012 #7 *M. Bridger guilty*

Machynlleth is in the county of Powys (thus Powys County Council) and Ceinws is in Gwynedd. The border is the river. MB was interviewed at Aberystwyth police station, the local divisional HQ. Edit: Both Mach and Ceinws are in Powys. Just looked at the maps. Missed that one! One takes much for...

Generations of mobile phone tech in the UK: 1G: analogue 2G: GSM; 2.5G: GPRS; 2.75G: EDGE 3G: UMTS; HSPA: 3.5G 4G: LTE /tech mode off. I also need to get a life.

A note of caution on this. A friend of mine in England served on a jury in recent years. Naturally, he didn't give any details of the case nor of what was discussed in the jury room. What he did say was that from the press coverage he'd seen of the trial after it had finished, people would be...

All the schools in Powys have a policy of a set school uniform, except for those who start pre-school.

Mach is still "holding onto hope for April". The town clock is now bathed in pink light: https://twitter.com/shemKSW/status/260480428505452544/photo/1

Get away for a day? Generally going shopping to Shrewsbury, or Aberystwyth maybe. Night out? Ha ha ha, don't make me laugh. I think there's a bit of a dance floor in the White Lion. Because Aber's a university town, the nightlife there is leagues better, so many locals go there.

Might it be worth asking mountain bikers to be vigilant? The mountains of Wales are a magnet to them.

The FC kept my father and his elder brother in gainful employment for many years. My uncle used to live in Ceinws. His recollection of the forested area around Corris is that it's difficult terrain. One way of putting it. Three weeks ago tonight...

The theory is that water is drained out in dry periods and retained in wet ones, but experience shows it's the other way round - water's released when the Severn's in flood. To everyone's consternation. But I digress. (In 6th form I attended a talk on its construction - most interesting.) The...

Hm, yes there is Glaslyn, but again it's another needle in a gigantic haystack. Anyway, wouldn't it have been easier to dispose of a body in Llyn Clywedog (lake)? It's far steeper than Glaslyn, so suitably weighted it would go pretty deep quite quickly. That B road goes right past it so it's...

It's just the infants & primary by Apri's estate. The secondary school is right next to the leisure centre at the other end of town. It was sited there due to the proximity of the school.

There's no 4G *anywhere* in the UK. It hasn't been launched yet. 3G exists only in Newtown, Barmouth, Tywyn, Aberystwyth, and nowhere else near to Mach. 2G is patchy at best. Often non-existent. Edit: that's just for Orange. T-Mobile are marginally better for 3G. Vodafone and O2 are atrociously...

Apologies, I'm several pages behind again. I've driven up the Corris Valley for many years, with several different phones, all on Orange or T-Mobile. I also have a Three MiFi. On all devices, the signal is pretty atrocious or non-existent.

He'd be spotted trying to do that. The steam railways in the region are all narrow gauge, thus with small grates. The cleaner whose job it is to prep the loco in the morning would definitely notice something as large as a body in the firebox, even a child's one, or even parts of a body. Plus the...

Incinerator you mean? The only one I can think of nearby would be the one at Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth. Other than that, do abbatoirs have any? There's one at Llanidloes, which he worked at, and one farther than the Ceredigion coast somewhere south of Aberystwyth. There isn't really any...

It was a Streetview image of a woman walking with a black-uniformed man towards the garden gate.

But yes, I do see your point about the same colour vehicle and same *type* of vehicle on the same estate, even though they're different make & model.
