maybe she followed the directions to the party and didn't account for the opposite turns or maybe she was driving too fast in poor visibility.
whatever happened, it was a horrible way to die and I feel for her parents.
Lots of people use cross bikes for gravel races. Most of my friends compete CX. I have a gravel/all around bike. Gravel is not my favorite surface for any ride. Give me dirt all day long.
The Daily Mail article references her using Strava to track them. My assumption all along.
But unknown to Strickland, Armstrong had allegedly been tracking both him and Mo using cycling app Strava which shows the routes runners and cyclists take.
Honestly though, I think she was following or at the very least tracking him in some way, such as a Apple Tag or Tile. She already knew he had been lying to her and probably knew through biking circles MW was in town for the bike race. A great number of races post the participants by name on...
I don't think it was ever established who these bikes belonged to. May have been searchers. Note they are on a hitch rack attached to a Subaru. I remember spending hours researching possible frames that look like them.
Right. However, my SUV can transport either of bikes fully upright. Many do not have clearance to fit the bars within the lift gate/hatch. Trust me, I research this one a lot. To transport inside a car/SUV that cannot be placed upright, you'd need to remove the front wheel and secure it...
Maybe? It's more common to use a bike rack to transport. Popping the wheel and on/off is kind of a pain and you cannot ride a bike with a locked front wheel. I'm thinking something got inside the caliper if it was tossed to its resting place or the brake cable became loose/tight.
