Oh geez. I wonder how school was affected at St. Michael's today - or if at all. My mom said cars were parked EVERYWHERE. Obviously in the church/school parking lot but also in the public school lot, down Hamilton Road AND along both sides of New Lakeshore Road (which is definitely not a...
I am not the one who knows TB. However, I was told today (again, rumour so take it with a grain of salt) that TB does own the house - that it was purchased for her by her mother for TB and her children. I don't want to drag TB's innocent mother and children back into the discussion - but yeah...

This is Father Peter's homily during Noelle's funeral mass. He asked the family if he could share it on his blog and they agreed and wanted to thank everyone for their support.
Well, let's hope that the evidence is so strong that it is a cut and dry case and there will be no room for plea deals. I hope they go away for minimum 25 years (that's the longest we have here in Canada - equivalent to "life"). But in some cases it really is "life" - look at Paul Bernardo, I...
No reporters were allowed into the church, and in fact a few media personnel had to be turned away from the church doors. They were lined up across the street with their cameras.
There is such a fine line between sincere interest and voyeurism - a very tricky line to walk I think.
I grew up in the Catholic Church, and waver each day between lapsed and non-lapsed Catholic. This is neither here nor there really, as this is not the platform for a discussion on religious dogma. But one thing I cannot deny is that the music is beautiful. During the last hour two different...
I think someone would have to be pretty brazen to attend the visitation or funeral as a rubber-necker...but then, there are people like that out there. But I think the staff at St. Mike's have it under control as much as they can.
I understand your concern. I would think the Paquettes were ok with this as they agreed to have the visitations at the church and not at the funeral home (knowing that the church has more room). Of course that is just my own opinion.
In my experience (I've gone to 10 funerals, 2 for friends...
Ok, phew. I don't want to be insensitive. There was also a very nice police honour guard. It makes me so proud of "my" community (even though I live in London now, Bright's Grove/Sarnia is still home in a way since my family is there, and I spend an awful lot of time there!). It's really such...
If there were still any doubts as to how much NP and her family are loved (and I don't think there could be by this point), the two visitations today were packed with hundreds and hundreds of people. The people I know who went said that they waited in the line up for an hour to greet the...
