This is a new case in Clarkston, Washington (population 7,355). It's the first murder in the town since the late 90s. (Rachel Anderson was from Clarkston but her murder is believed to have occurred in the Moscow, Idaho, area). While I didn't know the victim, by all accounts she was a very sweet...

I'm not sure about where you live, but in my area, these days you are much more likely to be seen by a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner than by a doctor. At the clinic we go to there is one doctor and about NPs. The personal providers my family goes to are all NPs. Doctors are more of a...
Agreed! It must have been very difficult to be on this jury. I am curious what factored into the not guilty verdict on one of the murder charges.
The jury will hear arguments in the penalty phase next Tuesday.
As of this morning (Monday): The jury reports that it is split on two of the counts:

The judge asked the jurors to keep trying. There is no indication on which counts they...
I google for news on "Kermit Gosnell" every day, multiple times per day. The jury will continue deliberating tomorrow.
They are deciding on "about 260 counts" according to this article, so I can understand the lengthy deliberations...
I'm very far behind in my reading here at WS and someone will no doubt have responded, but it is Chris Hansen that does "Catch a Predator" on Dateline.
IIRC, he has said she actually called him to tell him of Travis' death after she had returned to Yreka. She told Gus about it at some point after she received the "news" by Dan Freeman.
Whether ol' Gus has given more than one version of the story is entirely possible!
The jury is still in deliberations but are done for the weekend. They have to decide 260 counts, so I will give them a little leeway for the lengthy deliberations. Still, I wish they would hurry it along...
I have all signatures turned off in my user options, so I no longer see anyone's signatures. I'm sure I'm missing a lot, but it makes it quite a lot faster to load and read.
The jury questions we heard during the trial have me very hopeful. Maybe these questions were only from one or two jurors, but some of them no doubt made it onto the panel. I don't see them bending.
Nurmi tricked me! I thought he was almost done. :banghead:
Now I know why the closing was his thing, what with all of the sex and such that needed to be in it. His area of expertise.
The jury has the case and has been deliberating for a few hours.
In response to a post above, FOX News Channel is televising a one-hour special on Friday, May 3, at 9:00 p.m. Eastern called "See No Evil: The Kermit Gosnell Case"...
