That may be a misunderstanding. Some probably mean that, and some might mean that TM was an adolescent with adolescent judgement and reminds us of our own children, whom we want protected. I guess, as a woman, I see a young man... like my children used to be. Strong and unfinished, but so...
That might actually explain why the sounds were more like a high pitched moaning/muffled screaming with a few "help, help me!" sounds interspersed in there.
He might have seen a dispensing psychology type person because he had recently begun taking ADD meds. Adderall I think. And something for anxiety.
ETA: Which, for people with ADD, is calming.
Terms of art. Mean one thing to us, another thing to everyone else. Trauma and shock are terms of art to EMS personnel. We trigger on them like frisby dogs to a frisby.
I'm a little miffed at GZ for advancing with his weapon toward what he perceived to be a suspicious person when he knew police were on the way and no person was in eminent danger, because I see that as irresponsible gun ownership. I'm a big supporter of gun rights, concealed carry, and even open...

You know, I don't know if I could handle it. At all. Ever again. I would be devastated beyond devastated. I would feel so responsible and guilty and sorry and hate myself. I don't think I'd like to be friends with GZ.
That would be an odd thing for a medic to do, but strange things do happen. Perhaps the medic said "You're nose might be broken." That's very likely, whereas the medic "diagnosing a closed fracture" of the nose is against protocol.
If I had just killed a kid and was claiming the kid attacked me and injured me, and that I feared for my life/serious bodily injury he was beating me so badly, I'd get the most complete medical documentation available.
The thing for me is this: Nobody needs to be "the bad guy" here. They both look like average people for their ages. Something went horribly wrong, that's for sure, but I have a hunch it's far more mundane and pedestrian than all this Sturm und Drang would have us think.
