GUILTY UT - Michele MacNeill, 50, found dead in bathtub, Pleasant Grove, 11 April 2007 - #8

IIRC the victim in this case is Alexis. Something about that totally freaked me out today when I received my People magazine that had an article on the murder case. On one page they had side-by-side photos of Alexis, Gypsy, and the other mistress (Anna?) - all of them bear a stronger resemblance...

GUILTY UT - Michele MacNeill, 50, found dead in bathtub, Pleasant Grove, 11 April 2007 - #8

The jury question about the Estate law has me puzzled. There was testimony from Rachel and Alexis that in March (IIRC) they met with MM, Michelle, and maybe some of the other older kids and went over some will stuff. That was when MM gave each kid $5K but I think it was also when Alexis was made...

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I think maybe they used the calculator to check up on Dr. Perper's dilution testimony - and it must have seemed credible to them after checking the numbers. I am wondering if any of the jurors had medical/science background. If so, they would have been...

GUILTY UT - Michele MacNeill, 50, found dead in bathtub, Pleasant Grove, 11 April 2007 - #7

Defense's closing implied that Michele never had pants on and was leaning over the tub trying to wet her hair under the faucet when she "fell" in. IMO that makes no sense. If you were doing that you wouldn't take your pants off. You might take your shirt off to keep it from getting wet, but you...

If he claims the drug levels were so low then why would they have had an affect on that "prolonged Qt interval" (that really wasn' t prolonged) causing the supposed arrhythmia that he says caused her death?

Only other option IMO would be suicide over finding out about affair but Defense stipulated no suicide.Accident is so unreasonable given Michele as we have come to know her- she would not have taken all those mess at once.

Depending on when he dropped Ada at Kindergarten, he could have gone back. Can't remember whAt time was last time Michele talked to Alexis, but drugs would take at least 20 mins or so to make her noticeably drugged. She may even have seemed so "happy" when she talked to Alexis because of the...

I wonder if he made her breakfast that day and crushed mess in it. Didn't Alexis say Michelle told her on the phone thet "MM was being really sweet" that day? No proof, sadly. Stomach contents?

GUILTY UT - Michele MacNeill, 50, found dead in bathtub, Pleasant Grove, 11 April 2007 - #6

Don't know how the state could possibly prove this, but my thought is that there is more to the motive than just wanting to be with Gypsy (to which the defense can always reply that he would have gotten a divorce); I wonder if he realized that Michele knew about his fraud perpetrated to get into...

Do any of you sleuthers who have been following this trial since Day 1 know if we have any idea about the make up of the jury? IMO this case will ride heavily on the type of jurors - whether they can piece together the abundance of circumstantial evidence or whether there are some that "need a...

Jodi Arias Legal Question and Answer Thread *no discussion*

Can JM also legally address the foreperson's comments that he believed she was abused verbally and emotionally? Presumably that belief perhaps in a juror's mind meant the extreme cruelty was as a result of "snapping" due to past abuse and therefore didn't support a vote for DP from him/her...

Penalty Phase - Verdict Watch #4

Probably because her family is not there. Was the post above saying her family was at the Grand Canyon a joke? There is no way they could really be at the Grand Canyon while a jury is deliberating for life vs death for their daughter???

I don't think the jury was in the room this AM and IIRC she had a ponytail yesterday but when jury came in, she put glasses on.

If this is re: lip reading JA talking to attorney, IMO (not a mod or lawyer, just lay person who doesn't want to jeopardize a trial or WS forum) I would not speculate. Attorney-client privilege is sacred and WS's could get in some sort of trouble? MOO

Penalty Phase - Verdict Watch #4

I think Question #1 was probably something about how their instruction packets included some instructions that the judge had not read, what should they do? So then judge read them to them without announcing in court, publicly that the jury pointed out her mistake so as not to embarrass her or...

Penalty Phase - Verdict Watch #4

If I were JM, I would consider this a threat since it seems she would likely consider his prosecution of her an "abuse" of her, an "attack" on her and a "threat to kill" her.

    SIDEBAR #5- Arias/Alexander forum

BBM IIRC, the question according to the court twitter said, "@ this STAGE" - to me, this implied the jury wondered if at this PHASE of the trial (PENALTY phase versus GUILT or AGGRAVATION phase), the procedures would be different IF they got to a point where they were not in unanimous...

Jury may be more detail oriented and focused than judge right now and judge didn't thoroughly understand their note. JMO
