    Closing arguments- thread #177

Thank you for this. Just signed up. I served as a juror once. After a couple of weeks of testimony, when we got back to the room to deliberate we collectively exploded with relief to finally be able to talk about everything. But we settled down and got to work pretty quickly. Wild, you...

State rests rebuttal case - thread #169

Mine is skipping constantly, it has ever since the flash player crashed about an hour ago. I've restarted the feed, tried other streaming sites, rebooted the browser, and rebooted my computer. All to no effect, still skipping.

The giggling Dr. Drew was probably blushing as well :) He mostly irritates me. Find him mostly fake. But so I find most of the people who are regularly on HLN :/ Layers upon layers upon layers of makeup on both the men and women probably influence my low opinion. And they're all so yelly and...

So. For sure, for realz, the helio she testified was reported stolen before the trip is the same helio that lo and behold was not stolen, and used to take the pics we saw today? What was all that about Gus and a helio? Where does that fit in? I am super duper lost. I want to be super...

What happened to the helio phone? When was it lost? Who said it was lost? When was it found? Other than the pics we now see what was the relevance of the phone?

Already a zillion pages behind. I find JA's artwork to be soulless and immature. As plastic and banal as the most plastic, banal photo one finds in typical celebrity magazine. She might have been better than an average high school student but nothing worthy an actual mentor. She sure is...

It was good, in a pinpoint detail kind of way. But you should watch it (the witness was .. impressive :) )

That guy just slays me. When I started watching them my only vague quibble was with his accent. But one day he did a "FAQ" video, and read of question from someone who asked about it, to which he said "Don't ask stupid questions!". So I Lol'd and decided to just ride with it.

Oh but we can and we will. Wild reported cameras will be rolling and he will be providing his salmon colored witty tweets.

/fixes Becky a hot chocolate laced with bourbon (it's after 11pm or is 5pm somewhere). Not a day to go get a new keyboard hm? Where I am, we have had 20+ FEET more snow from Feb-April than has ever been recorded.

/hi5 It was JA's hubris shining through if her smile at the end of court yesterday was due to having the manslaughter charge come in. It is HIGHLY unlikely the jury will debate anything beyond LWOP vs DP.

How about "Miss-cheev-ee-us" instead of "Miss-chiv-us" :D Had an ex boyfriend who taught me that one. ALV would say he was abusive! He simply corrected me instead of apologizing before and after the correction.

What's super weird about that statement is that in 90% or so of the pictures of Travis I've seen (particularly ones with JA), he isn't smiling at all, or is barely smiling. HE doesn't smile and say cheese, SHE does though, in all of those pictures.

Yes :) But unfortunately he willingly and purposefully defends sexual criminals. "I'm just asking". I doubt he cares much what people think of him. He might, however, be worried that the jury is having a similar strong, incensed, repulsed reaction.

She would not consider it at all, would dismiss it completely, because it doesn't fit within the contextual continuem and with the domestic violence she was hired to find ;) She might merely assume he had put himself in a *advertiser censored* time out.

Great questions from the jury, especially in regards to Travis' camera. 90 pictures left on the camera shows critical thinking on the part of JA, which is impossible in a fog or in fight/flight mode. :)

Did you see the looks on JA's face during those questions? I saw pleasure and happiness.

Wow. I guess this is supposed to show that Travis treated Jodi badly? But instead it kind of showcases how "deviant" the defendant is. And the witness stays strong and calm and sure and comes across as a truly good woman. Also there's that phrase again. Corking the pot. SO WEIRD. That phrase.
