KatieCoolLady, your story is very touching.
I can't help but again pick up on this Kiefer fellows words. What he's endorsing by suggesting the State/family ought to have taken the plea is blackmail. Shameful. This case is so clearly murder 1. Whether it should amount to life or death is, as we...
Thanks for gathering all of the foreman interviews.
He seems very empathic. That's a great trait, but JMO, it did him in a bit here. It almost felt as if he were looking at arias like a character in a novel; a medium where everyone's motivations are often clear and singular.
I share the...
it's dicey ground re: his rant. looking at it that way lends looking at travis' murder the same. "she almost cut his head off? what did he do to her to deserve that?"
JMO. i do take issue with people refusing to look at this case with shades of grey. it's the defence and prosecutors job to...
it's funny to see people criticizing juan, like he didn't secure a murder 1 with a provision of cruelty. as far as death, i know the family wants it, but it seems like "the cherry on top" so to speak. this was absolutely a murder 1 case. death penalty, i'm not sure. but life in prison without...
IMO, even if they give her death it'll never get through appeals. Arias will get life. That doesn't seem so bad to me. Lock her up. No more interviews. No more seeing her face. That's the end of that.
Is life in prison that bad? She'll never get out. The family wont have to see her anymore. She's been found guilty of premeditated first degree murder, with the provision of cruelty.
By all rights, the family and victim WON.
HA HA at this Michael Kiefer character. He wasn't asking her questions so much as trying to ingratiate himself to her. "I totally heard you say sorry, I heard it, so my question is, and know that I definitely heard you say sorry, am I right in saying I heard that? Because I am but please answer...
If Beth said she thinks Arais may have done enough to spare her life, that's likely as objective an analysis as she's capable. I think Beth takes her role as a journalist more seriously than most on HLN. On that note, personally favoring life in prison over death for Arias isn't akin to drinking...
i think you guys have to realize that when travis' siblings are talking about his lost life and their inability to interact with him anymore, arias absolutely has the ability to see that testimony in relation to her own lack of life now.
arias honestly looked upset. but, jmo, she was hung up...
she's not nervous. she's taking a different strategic approach given her client is considered guilty. plus, she's talking about a man's suffering. she can't be cavalier.
i don't think her reaction to nurmi's comment was abnormal. i doubt she cares much for him, either. it's, at the very best, a strictly professional relationship. and it was a funny comment.
hey katie, sorry to hear about your friendship. in regards to his inaccuracies, another thing he 'reported' via twitter was that about 30 people erupted into laughter after alyce laviollette asked juan "mr. martinez, are you angry with me?" when in fact, re-watching the youtube clip, it was...
