My theory about that is that LP likes to talk big and to come off as a big spender. Remember he promised a large reward (I forgot the exact amount) for whoever found Caylee’s body. RK found the body and LP refused to give the reward and made all these excuses, but the only way he knows to keep people from bringing it up is to make out like RK is a bad guy.

LP had already come off that "reward" money long before RK found the body. LP didn't refuse to give the reward, he had withdrawn it shortly after one of KC's arrests. He isn't afraid of people mentioning the reward money, he, himself has mentioned it several times on NG.

I've been laying off watching Nancy lately, taking a self-imposed break from all the "bombshells" but I wanted to chime in about something...

Does JB honestly think that he can debunk as junk science the body farm report when so many people said the car smelled like death? Go ahead and try it JB! You'll still have to contend with your defendant's mother on the 911 call saying...well, we all know what she said. And the statements from LE regarding the smell. And her father. And Lee. And the dogs, who can't speak but can and did sit down (signal) when they smelled it. What a putz! Someone better assume the lead role and put a muzzle on JB pretty soon or Casey just might have grounds for appeal (if she doesn't already)!

Did I hear doc dump?? Is that true??? I knew it! That's why JB and Cindy and George were making the rounds.

Where was GA when he was screamin at the media, "The body that was found in the trunk of my grand daughter's car was not my grand daughter!" And I'm pretty sure he said his grand daughter's car. That statement has always bothered me. But also----what body was found in that car?

You are right...AND...IIRC, RK couldn't accept any money, anyway, since he's a public servant and was at work when everything went down.

Also LP puts up rewards for a live person---not a dead one. I think most do. Also for a time-period.

it sounds so WEIRD............

That's right! He did say that so, he was either referring to the decomp smell's implication that there was a body in the trunk or, ... the body was still in the car at the tow yard.

I had always wondered if the remains were still hidden in the wheel well, that's why KC claims she doesn't know where Caylee is, because someone found her and dumped her as part of the 'cleanup'.

It always made me wonder with GA's reaction recounting the decomp smell to LE, was that the recollection of the smell that made him sick to the stomach or, something much worse.

I still think that KC acted alone and dumped the body alone BUT it does make you wonder why GA reacts so violently to the memory and smell.

LA reacts it was BAD but just laughs, CA minimalizes it yet, GA is sick to the stomach and cannot even cope with the term 'remains'. Things that make you go...... hmmm?

To answer your question....really not even close! Yes, a dead mouse stinks but nowhere near a human body. The smell of a dead animal (unless it's a very large animal) will dissipate as soon as the animal is removed. And, it won't stick to your clothing and hair and stay in your nostrils for days or weeks.

I only saw portions of JB's WESH interview, but he said that the guy from The Body Farm says a human decomp smells like a rotten potato. I don't know if that is accurate.

I'm sure Dr. William B. would be more than happy to give JB a personal tour of the Body Farm.

Thanks for clearing that up. No wonder its a smell you don't forget. I'm even more angry now at the grandparents. :furious:

Rotting pizzas my left knee! And remember how Lee was talking about that smell when he was being taped? He said it was stinking up the whole garage and IIRC the smell permeated the house too.

Not even close.

When I worked for an ambulance co, we would put Vicks (vapo rub) under our noses before we got anywhere near a dead body, especially if the body had been dead for a few hours.

For example, we could tell the minute we entered a house that we had a deceased person, just by the smell.
