It frustrates me as well that no one seems to have questioned Casey, but lets think about what we know about Casey and her demeanor. Think of the first phone call from jail that was released where she wants Tony's phone number and her friend Christina is on the line crying and Casey's berating her for her emotions. Casey's demeanor was of someone who knew where her child was, and as such Annie states that she believed Casey truly had left Caylee with someone; I don't believe that Annie or any of Casey's friends could have possibly fathomed that she could be so cold. Casey is someone who will berate someone who wants to give her sympathy and grow defensive and belligerent when questioned. Asking her anything would be a waste, a huge waste, and you can bet that her best friend knew this.
I can't imagine having been someone who knew Casey and Caylee and having to wrap my mind around this case...

But, Casey was in jail for quite a while before her bond was posted the first time. Christina seems to be one of the only people in this entire case to show any emotions about Caylee and what had happened to her. Christina talked to Casey the original day that she was arrested.

Annie came into contact (in her words) after Casey had been released on bond the first time. She KNEW, or at least I would think she would KNOW that something was seriously wrong with Casey's version of events. To be the person "not wanting to know" seems like a sad excuse.

I would think if Annie really believed, like she still says, that Caylee was taken by someone... why wouldn't she want to do everything in her power to get any information that she could out of Casey as to who this person was? Why this person would do something like this?

Maybe she was forced fed Cindy's theory about Jesse or Amy being the "Zanny the Nanny."

I think that Annie did give a lot of good information... I just don't buy her story about when she had direct contact with the ONE and ONLY person that knew.

Do I think that Casey told Annie the truth of what happened? No. But, I do think that Casey and Annie talked a lot more about Caylee than she is letting on. I also think the same applies for Cindy, George and Lee.

If not, then that speaks volumes about this family and their constant words to the media about this Zenaida (Zanny the Nanny) Fernadez-Gonzales (z?).

From what I got out of Annie's depo, was that she was asked to pick up the T-shirts (a good, personal friend of hers) on Friday because George and Cindy were out of town (most likely one of their many speaking tours) and Annie met up with Cindy and George on a Friday (when Casey was out on bond) to give them the T-Shirts, only to tell them how she was in need of talking to someone like Casey about her life situations.

Yes, something more important in her life was going on then asking how she could help looking for or finding out information about Caylee.

Since someone posted the Emails from Annie to Tony, and how she asked him all these questions about Caylee and Casey, makes me think she asked a lot more (to Casey) than she is letting on.

I agree Annie gave some good info, but she may not have been 100% truthful about her questioning (or not) of KC. Annie says when KC wanted to talk about it, she didn't want to know. But then later in the questioning, she says she did ask KC about chloroform. And then later when they rephrased a question, she recalls KC did tell her "they" were telling KC what to say about everything. So I think they did talk some about it. JMO.

They go off camera when talking about things leading up to KC and the "fake id" and did Annie know anything about her having one and the traffic ticket on May 24.

When she was talking about the death of Caylee's father, she mentioned Casey's MySpace memorial to the guy...that was for JO, no? Not anyone named Eric, IIRC.
All in all I found her to be forthright in her answers...just got the sense she was trying to protect CA...didn't want her answers to contradict what CA had "sworn" to. She seems to be reading a lot online. I'm sure she 's well aware of how the As depos went. It also still bothers me that she got her info about Casey's release all mixed up. More specifically, the conversation between the two about Caylee being home by her 3rd birthday. There is no way she had this convo in person with Casey. Perhap, it was Cindy.

I really cannot fathom not wanting to question KC. How can every single person surrounding this family be so messed up? I mean, I could see vomiting roses and rainbows to get past Cindy, but once in the room alone with KC I would have tied her down and slapped the truth out of her.

The part about her going through something and how it was times like that she missed Casey...or so she told CA...was IMO just her way of making conversation with the As. I betcha CA, in her way, convinced Annie to go see Casey. It very well may have caught her by surprise...and she wasn't ready to connect with Casey on that level. Now, why she went back for another visit I don't quite get...unless it was another request of Cindy's. I think Annie feels very sorry for the woman. I can understand that, but still get the feeling Annie was unwittingly "sucked in" to this.

I agree with you, cecybeans. Annie is a very confusing gal. Seems like she wants to be helpful but I am not sure just how forthcoming she was today or in her LE interviews. Something just doesn't seem right to me.

I think she's trying to protect the family...not Casey. JMO

When her LE interview came out a lot of posters, including me, thought she sounded just like Casey in the first part of it, so you may very well be right. But I think we should be a little more hesitant in judging her by her Myspace page and pictures taken 2 or 3 years ago. I am not her friend on myspace so I can't see her whole page, can you? I have stepchildren and nieces & nephews in the same age group and are their friends on myspace and facebook and can't believe some of the things they post and the language they use. They are not horrible, disgusting people though. I think it's just their way of blowing off steam or having fun with people their own age. I am not trying to defend or excuse Annie's behavior because I don't know her but for the same reason I'm trying to be a bit more understanding and not draw conclusions from a mood she puts on myspace.

This was during a time when hundreds, if not thousands of searchers were looking for Caylee. Casey had all the answers but instead of Annie trying to help Caylee, she went over there and chatted about friends, watched movies, had a sleep over, and I assume solved the catastrophic problem she was having that trumped Caylee. Annie didn’t even attempt to get information regarding Caylee’s whereabouts and went as far as to shut her down when she started to talk (according to her). If Annie was truly afraid she would have never gone over there. I don’t buy her reason for going to the house but if it is true she went over there to discuss her problems then her actions speak for themselves.

I don’t think it’s a fair comparison of your family’s myspace pages and Annie’s. She is in the middle of a murder investigation of a 2 yr old and as such it would be nice if she had a little more decorum than to post self-absorbed messages with a “RIP Caylee” message at the bottom of them. Given the circumstances and timing of her posts, at best they are in very poor taste and disrespectful to Caylee. She is what, 22 years old? I saw one laced with profanity bragging about everyone knowing her name with the standard “RIP Caylee” message at the end. Caylee deserves better than to have her name plastered on this garbage. Annie didn’t ask a single question to help find her but she sure got all hot under the collar when Casey implicated her in distributing drugs.

All I know about LP is that Morgan wants him after the A's get thru. Can't wait for that one. LOL Bet he never gives one.

True. LP could be a stick over the A's depo, although AD contradicted the A's statements big time, a LOT!!!!

Yup...I mean what was she gonna say...the "girl kinda creeps me out"? I'm sure George and Cindy's emotions were all over the place. I personally think it must have been very difficult to be in the same house as their daughter. There was a whole lot of "not" talking if you ask me, regardless of what CA says. The girl probably was guilted into going. Now, the question I have is...both times? Something feels off about the pj party later on. Could Annie have also been asked to do reconnaissance?

That's a good possibility. I hadn't thought of that angle but now that you bring it up I can see how CA might think that she would be able to "get something out of" Casey if she could get Casey talking with one of her friends. It seemed like during the visit CA tried to act "like one of the the girls" - behaving as if Annie's visit was just a big ole fun pj party. I think CA thought that Annie could provide a good buffer to help CA get closer to Casey and help her get Casey's guard down, to gain Casey's trust.

Right on my sister or brother..I was thinking the same thing Cindy knows KC will just shutdown on her she was getting no information from KC...Cindy would use Lee for that and I think at that point he had gotten all he could out of KC so she used Annie to extract information from KC .

I think Annie did a good job and was very credible she would use events in her life so she could give truthful answer to questions...Such as I saw KC and Tony on the 5th of July the day after the holiday that is how most people remember things from a year ago. I read post people think she is self indulgent because of her myspace page AND they do look wild to 40 and 50 yr old people but I think they are normal say in a 20 yr old world.
Hey cut her break she is 23 yrs old shehas no children has a job taking care of herself this is the time you can be self indulgent in your life ...that will change in time when she hits her thirty's it just an age thing starts in the teens ends in the thirty's life experience will change her...and this is a big one her highschool friend is accused of killing her own daughter may be put to death.... KC lied to Annie just like she lied to everybody else ....she help put a few dents in Cindys statements I think Morgan is very happy with Annie's depo..
