KC learned to lie from CA, no doubt about it!

Casey is Cindy Jr. in stripper boots! If you compare the August jailhouse visit outbursts from Casey at her folks to Cindy's hateful behavior at the depo you see the apple and the tree. They both go from zero to one hundred in seconds. If we can imagine Cindy choking her child, we can imagine Casey harming the baby.

If she didn't want to get involved, why go to the house when Casey got out of jail? Surely not to discuss some urgent problem that trumped Caylee's safety. Could someone really be that self-centered? Scary thought. She had no intention of trying to find Caylee. I don't mean to sound flippant, I'm just trying to understand why people take what she says at face value when her actions scream the opposite.

If you look at Annie's e mails to Tony, she was all over him with a hundred questions, so I don't believe her that she didn't want to know the truth.
She admits, repeatedly, that she had known for years that Casey was a liar, and recently since Caylee went missing she had come to understand through Cindy that nearly everything Casey ever told her was made up. I just do not believe that she didn't talk about what happened. She left there with a suspicion of Jesse, so we know they at least had that conversation, right? All she knew of him before that is that he was planning to marry her friend and adopt the child to raise as his own. In her police interview she mentions that Cindy slept in the same room as her and Casey. In the depo she makes says it was just her and Casey talking. Lastly, if you'll let one friend have one of your Zanax, where would the righteous indignation come in when a different friend wants one (She admitted she gave one to Shawn)?

Despite everything, she insisted on confiding in Casey about "her thing", so I take this to mean she still held her in some esteem. What concerned me was her My Space page the day before the police interview (WHICH SHE WAS ORDERED BY THE COURT TO TESTIFY, SHE DID NOT COME WILLINGLY), she wrote on there "This is the day my fate is decided". If one has done nothing wrong, why would your fate hang in the balance of a police interview? What do you infer from that?

I'm just thrilled they got the stuff about the traffic ticket as sworn testimony. If there are any "mis-truths" or "half-truths" in her depo, it can all come back to bite her in the criminal trial, and may be a nice bargaining chip for the SA if they need to press for more or better details.

I still have a real problem why someone who was admittedly not very close any longer to KC - barely seeing her within the space of a year - would suddenly find the need to be comforted by her and her alone over a "personal matter" and be whisked by CA and GA to the home amidst a crowd of hungry media and ugly-minded protestors...I wouldn't think anyone would want to risk that kind of exposure unless it was very, very important.

Exactly! You have it right on the money. This makes no sense, and the fact that George and Cindy went to pick her up is so interesting. I just do not believe this, and I especially do not believe that if her dear dear sister Casey asked for a Zanax she would refuse her, ever. Does anyone know if that is Anne (before becoming a blond) kissing Casey in those Radar Online photos? I notice that Annie emphasized to Tony that she and Casey were VERY good friends, does that imply more than platonic friends?

respectfully snipped...........

She could have had an important job interview or been waiting for a loan approval...I wouldn't take every comment listed on Myspace has something directly realated to this case.

As for the being ordered by the court to give a statement, do we know that for a fact? When Danti was nice enough to stop by and answer questions, he said that he and Annie had already given statements. Maybe she had a supeona (not sure if that spelled correctly) to come give another statement. I had one before, for something that happened two years prior (bar fight, I witnessed it, called ambulance and stayed with the injured guys til they left for hospital). They could have called me and I would have come in, I had already given several statements.

Yes but even so - how can she have access to cash all the time? I would thinka fter catching her stealing once that it would A) remove her access from their accounts and also B)keep KC from taking more.

Two years of always having money seems a bit odd. I was a single mom, lived with my parents, had a job and never had money.

Guys help me remember, weren't there all kind of searches on her computer about being an escort? Do you remember that collage of photos she had that seemed to be some sort of ad, it said things like try me, I've got tricks you have never seen? Didn't she have on her cupid site remarks that she was bi and in those Radar Online photos didn't someone interviewed by them who was at the party say something like the girls were paid and it was worth it, they sure did put on a show? It wouldn't surprise me at all if she thought to herself why give it away for free if I can get paid for it, but I am just speculating. I have no proof she was escorting, just wondering. At one point Annie Casey always had money, but at another point she says they both were always broke, it is hard to discern the truth in her police interview and this depo. There seems to be the one gal they knew then, just as the one Casey Jesse knew then, and in my opinion, the new gal that started on weed and Ectasy after hooking up with Tony and his crew at Fusion.

So true! And what really makes no sense is that "best friends", especially at that age, would not discuss what the heck is going on!!! AS IF Annie wouldn't have asked what the real deal is. So we are supposed to believe that KC and A just sat there in her room and talked about "stuff". Or is Annie that-kind-of-friend. I used to have a ton of them. They really, really don't care about you or your life...they talk about themselves 24/7. They actually don't care!

I have to say that I find it really disturbing that Annie & Casey sat & watched a Movie while Caylee was missing.

Caylee's Missing.....But Annie doesn't want to know anything about it...!!!

Are you kidding Me..?

The 2 of them, sitting there, staring at the Television while half the country is wondering what happened to Caylee..!!

Caylee....!! Casey's Daughter.........Annie's Friend's little Girl..

Where's the Urgency,,,? The desperation...?

Oh Well...........Whatever............Lets Watch A Movie..!!

After witnessing Casey's behavior over the past 8 months I guess I really shouldn't be surprised....

"Birds of Feather"...And all That

See No Evil = Speak No Evil = Hear No Evil
Going back and watching video of Casey strutting on a daily basis into her lawyer's office like some kinda celeb really gets my gander up.

I have a feeling CA had a lot to do with KC breaking up with JG. I think the Grunds were too strong a family unit-CA wouldn't have been able to control and manipulate Jesse. Remember when he stood up to CA when she was berating KC? That probably finished it for Jesse in CA's eyes! How dare he!! I think in CA's mind Jesse had to go-he was a threat to her control of KC and that also meant control of Caylee. KC wasn't going to make that mistake again and let CA have the opportunity to interfere with her chance to escape her life. KC was banking on a man to get her out of her prison-she was too lazy to do it on her own!
Oh I totally agree, the boyfriend that made his way into the A's good graces would have to play according to their rules. This is why they didn't have many friends standing up for them when Caylee went missing, IMO, their family structure is very closed to the outside world. This "us against the world" mentality, I believe, is partly the reason for Cindy's protectiveness of Casey.

I wonder if they didn't talk in the house because they thought it was bugged. That could explain why everyone was so 'la de dah' about the situation.

I thought it was interesting how Annie said everything was so clean at the house. As if they think that if everything looks good, it IS good.

ETA: About the 'fate is determined' comment on myspace. Annie may have thought she'd get in trouble for giving her friend a xanax. That kind of thing can be seen as no big deal at the time, but legally, it could be a big deal. I get prescription sleep meds. I use it on occasion, not every night. My sister gets the same thing. If one of us doesn't have any, we will ask each other for one every once in a while. I don't think it's a big deal....we are not diagnosing and dispensing random drugs, but is it illegal to do this? Probably.

Sure it is, that's why Brad called in sick the other day ..

It is the oldest delay tactic in the book. I had one case where the lawyer's father was in the hospital er , three times , and it turned out his folks didn't even live in our state so he couldn't have possibly been with him at the er! If I were Brad I would stall too as long as it took for the Anthonys to find a new lawyer so I could resign my post.

Yeah! Isn't that something?!! I just can't get over it. I live in Minnesota not too far from where a little girl went missing a few years ago. People were out walking along roads, trails, searching lakes for her, her parents were on tv crying and asking for her. I'd bet my house Dru Sjodin's parents did not 'hang out' and watch movies. They were on their feet walking and looking looking looking.

Really is the strangest behavior I've ever seen from a family with a missing loved one .. :(
Truly, it's unbelievable ..

They all not only failed Caylee in life but, again in death .. :(

*sigh*

Yeah :D I don't think Brad's going to stick around much longer either ..

Next: The Anthonys will represent themselves! :D

Yes and the nerve it took to wear the white sunglasses with the blue hoodie shirt she bought at Target, on tape, with her friend Amy's checks is amazing. With friends like this Annie wont need enemies!

I'm sorry----I meant, do you think Annie was aware of the way KC kept all the friends and family separated---telling this bunch this and that bunch that and telling mom a different story with different players. Maybe it was some kid of game the 2 girls played together. Grab another ID and act like they were somebody else.

BBM
IMHO, I would say NO, she believed Casey to be hanging around with her current boyfriend and his group of friends( sometimes when someone starts up a new relationship the "old" friends get pushed aside somewhat).
I believe when the friends gathered at the A's to talk is when a lot of the differing stories/lies were revealed.

I've been searching for a Transcript of Annie with the Investigators without success. Am I confused and it hasn't been released yet? Thanks for any help.

Well, haven't they been representing themselves from the beginning=no attorney has gotten through to them!:bigstick:

Was KC supposed to graduate from high school the same year as Annie? If so, I'm confused. How likely is it that Annie didn't know that she didn't graduate? I know they didn't hang out together outside of school back then, but with all those friends in common, it's hard for me to believe that they wouldn't have talked and that not graduating would have been common knowledge.

Cindy is the one who told Annie Casey didn't graduate.
