For the moment, disregard anything about the gun except one thing....who "found/retreived" the gun from the ditch? The reason I ask is ANOTHER glaring, *ahem*, "difference" (in deference to Kimster) is noted between Misty's version and Ronald's version:

Thanks Papa! I wonder why there is such a discrepancy? Who's lying? I think Misty is lying about finding the gun. I think she was told to tell them that...by whom? Ron, of course. If he originally told Cobra HE found it...something must be up with this particular gun...because he later tells Misty to say that SHE found it instead of him.

Nice catch. So apparently they have motive to show that the gun was in Joe's posession for a period of time and are setting him up. If the retrieval story is a lie, so is the rest. You would think they could at least get their stories straight. haha.

I think they are both lying. They want LE to think Joe had the gun at some point but never did.
Maybe that is what the real fight was about.. Joe denies stealing the gun because he didn't, but Ronald says he did and Misty backs him up. I wonder what crimes were committed around there during the time Joe was there that they are afraid of getting caught for? Why didn't Ronald just dump the gun? He says he cleaned it and gave it to FDLE.. guess we know now why he cleaned it.. because JOE's FINGERPRINTS WERE NOT ON IT. So when FDLE says, we found no fingerprints of Joe on it..he can say, 'Yeah, I know..I cleaned it..but Joe still stole it!' They can't prove they weren't on there b4 Ronald cleaned it. But they could have proven they weren't on there if he hadn't cleaned it.
 
Of all the places on the planet Earth that a "dastardly gun theif" could hide his bounty, how could anyone besides the "theif" themselves know it was hidden inside a culvert, in a ditch, under the driveway, at what just happened to be the "victim's" girlfriend's brother's residence?

I totally agree with that. I could not make sense of it but I think you nailed that one.
 
About the gun.. It also got me wondering...
I have heard it said that Ron had recently tried to rob some drug dealer at gunpoint. (anyone with a link to the origination of that??)

WBG states he doesn't even know Ronald...but has heard things about him.."gotta be ballsy /robs and strong arms drug dealers" ...So who does WBG run with that he has common knowledge of this..if he doesn't even know Ronald? WBG has nothing but BAD to say about Ronald, yet doesn't know him? So does Nay Nay. Makes me wonder if it was no coincidence that Nay Nay and WBG lured Misty in...to get info on Ronald's activites? Did Ronald mess with one of their "dope boys"? Did Misty tell Ronalds secrets? Which makes me wonder if a hit was set up on Ronald for what Misty confirmed with them? Did it happen Monday night? Did Ronald have a fear a hit was coming and was trying to put Joe on the train tracks for the recent gunpoint robbery of a drug dealer?

The Kangaroo he stopped at is on 309, at the junction to Shell Harbor Way.

LE has searched a more than 12 mile stretch of 309.

The search on the St John's before Easter was done near the Veteran's Memorial Bridge, which would be north of Green Lane, which would be the route Ronald HAD to take to get to work at PDM, even further north.

I didn't know all this. Wow, the store is right there and the previous search was on his route to PDM. It's all coming together.

And LE questioned him re his arrival time at home according to these tapes. hmmmm
 
Who knew after days and days and days of going over and over all this we are right back smack at the beginning again....the 911 call and the times of arrival..................arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.
 
If the "Joe took the gun" story was made up, to point the finger at Joe, the following might make sense. Why would Ron only admit to the stolen gun to Cobra and deny it when he was on main stream media channels ? Because he wanted to slip the "story" in quietly, as if it wasn't coming from him. I figure it's the same with the way he didn't scream Joes name to the media, because he knew it was a lie and he didn't want them seeing it as the made up alibi that it was. It was coming from Misty and other sources, just like Ron wanted. Same with the 911 call, Misty called, not Ron. I don't know if any of this makes sense really, but this is the picture I'm getting.

Nana, you're not kidding! Yesterday, or day before..(my brain is fried) I went back to the first thread regarding HaLeigh and re-reading couldn't believe that we were discussing today..the very same things we discussed then. Kinda skeery to be honest. If you get a chance glance back through them here...interesting reading...

Just like he let the story slip about Misty only crying real tears when it came to him and LE having him make a video for Misty. Opps, just slipped out.

Oh Pondering I don't think I can wrap my head around that again...all that hard work that everyone did in minute detail it was mind boggling....so we left it and moved on and tried to break other stuff down and once again here we are at the beginning.......my hat is off to you and all the other wonderful sleuthers here.....I am just so sick of the whole bunch in the families that I want the true perp to pay for what has happened to this precious child........and I wanted it yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:banghead:
