I am so not wanting her to turn out to be guilty, though I cannot think of a scenario that I prefer either, if he is dead, which I believe he is. I want to think, at the least, that it was an accident and a cover-up in a panic. In fact, I do think that, if indeed it turns out Terri harmed/killed Kyron, until proven otherwise. I never brought myself to the point of seeing premeditation here.

But either we are witnessing fine 21-century LE, making a point of keeping the media out of their business as they work, or an investigation focused on one person only, possibly to the point of allowing a guilty party to go free.

Or LE did their job, gave Kaine enough information that he wants to keep his daughter safe and once TH is isolated, which will increase the pressure on her, she might 'fess up and lead investigators to where she left Kyron.

I think there is method and a reason behind what is going on now.

She should have met him at the door with a shotgun and a stopwatch.

LOL! I had much the same thought.

Except you're nicer than I am, I wouldn't bother with the stopwatch. I'd suggest that the guy spontaneously invent transportation or pray for a miracle.

Well spotted - "Horman SAR" - I guess for when they rescue/recover...?

Again, very well spotted.

I don't see anything except a 403 error

what is everyone seeing at that 'test' link?

ETA:

saw it - it's in the toolbar line duh me (-;

No, another message board. As soon as the family statement was released and posted, the wonderful moderator over there slammed the thread closed. Ridicuous.

I've closed the thread on the family statement because we are all discussing the same thing on two threads. Possibly three by now, LOL.

I don't think Abbie is talking about WS. Carry on, everyone. :)

When you click on 'test' under the days of the week you get this in the URL 'http://www.mcso.us/public/images/HormanSAR0610/' and the page itself reads

I tried to direct traffic, but it's rather like herding cats. Or I just suck at it.

Hats off to our mods!

well I can't stay up any longer, EST here. Praying for a good outcome tonight as I head to bed.

If so, I wonder if it had anything to do with the gentleman that planned to do a private K9 search today? Just curious here.

Tricia, the owner of Websleuths, has looked into this person and has decided we will not be discussing him here. If anyone has more questions about this, please contact a moderator privately. Thanks!

Speaking for myself: even if I were having marital trouble before my child's disappearance, I would stick with my spouse throughout an ordeal like this so that my leaving wouldn't make him appear guilty. On the other hand, the only way I would leave and take the other children out of the house, would be if I had irrefutable proof that he was guilty. Which I believe, IMO, they now have.

As a side note: I would do the exact same thing if my child had been found alive or dead. Even alive, I would think my spouse was pretty sick to put me through weeks of hell for whatever reason. I'd be ready to string them up, either way.

I think the article is somewhat telling depending on how it's taken. I'd think you would want to answer the door to anyone if a child was missing just in case it was news. Maybe to only talk through the screen or glass though. It could be telling that someone with one missing child would let the other run around outside and get a distance away with a stranger there speaking to you instead of holding the baby. That could also indicate exhaustion and worry. The reason for the unmown grass could have been said to be from not keeping up the yard this past month, but it was due to being hard to maintain the property instead. However, the reporter didn't describe how high the grass was either, but must have thought there was something odd about that round spot to ask.

The article said that the toddler got about 30 feet away. That's 6 adult footsteps. Doesn't sound far to me, particularly out in the country on a very little used road at the end of a long driveway.

In media interview situations I have been, the first thing the reporter does is give me ID for themselves and some sort of documentation as to their employer such as an employer badge.

At that age, if the toddler was feeling restless, holding her would mean conducting an interview across a squirming, kicking and possibly screaming child.

And then the world would revile TMH as being a horrible mother.

I find it interesting that Terrie is claiming her husband and daughter didn't move out when her own father, who is living in the same household, confirmed the couple's 18-month-old daughter is staying somewhere else.

"Her father, Larry Moulton, is visiting Terri Horman and staying at her northwest Portland house to give her support. He confirmed that Terri Horman's 18-month-old daughter was staying away from the house at a separate location."

I thought earlier that Kaine hadn't left Terri, because he seemed supportive in interviews. But the wording of this statement is clear. "best interest of Kyron and Kiara" and TH's father's statement, that the baby is staying somewhere else! Kaine has taken the baby and it is legal, apparently. Obviously, they will soon charge her with this crime.

It looks like an arrest is imminent in this case..... All JMO.

So why would LE recommend Kaine take the baby and leave without Terri?

My guess? They can't make a good case against TMH but are convinced she's guilty. So they arrange to turn up the pressure.

This says nothing about whether TMH is actually guilty or not.

Anyone else remember Riley Fox?

I hope they have some evidence, as all of this is really making it look terrible for Terri and is very unfair if they don't and are just fishing.

I keep finding that everytime I speak to my husband, I say, "just my opinion" these days...

No, actually I don't. Not unless someone called first and I was expecting them. I live alone with a female child.
i live alone in an apt. and i don't answer the door either unless someone has phoned to tell me they are coming. it has only happened a couple of times that someone knocks unexpectedly. once it was the census taker and she left a sticker reminding me to mail my census back. once, early on a saturday morning i got a knock and looked out the peep hole. it was two young men wearing starched white shirts, black ties, black slacks, carrying Bibles. i can't say what i would do in TH's position. i would hate to be in her shoes and i hope against hope the wind shifts because i so don't want to find out she had anything to do with Kyron disappearing.

In light of the divorce and restraining order filed, we can now say that this story is old news and the thread is now closed so we don't have two of the same topics being discussed at the same time.
